Black Ops or Modern Warfare 2?
I used to play my brother's XBOX when he got it for Christmas, but he took it to college with him in September. I've wanted one for a long time, so my grandma decided to get me one for my birthday on the 16th. There's just one problem though. I'm not sure if I should get MW2 or Black Ops. I mean, Black Ops is really hyped up and all, but how do I know that I will like it as much as MW2? The fact that Treyarch, a different company, made Black Ops makes it all the harder to decide. I know that I like Modern Warfare 2, but how can I be sure I'll like Black Ops? What should I do? Take the chance, or go with the game I already know I like?

I know it's not new. I meant it's not Infinity Ward anymore.

Second, like @wasdf said, MW2 will be deserted since everyone will be playing black ops.
Third, I'm sure if you don't like black ops you can return it....?

Not sure about the details lately. From what i've heard Infinity Ward only had like... 4 staff left after being sued. But Treyarch have been making cods before Black Ops.
Treyarch dident 'take over' infinity ward. They both take turns in making the next cod. CoD 3, WaW and Black ops are Treyarch the rest are IW.

You can get MW2 used for about $25, so that's your choice.
MW2 is a great game, actually. But you will rage, sometimes.
Black ops. There's so much new stuff! There won't be much on mw2 afta a while I think
@panzer262 Lol you still see people playing WaW CoD4 and even CoD3. I don't think MW2 will be empty
I'm sure eventually there should be a Black Ops demo, not confirming anything, but I'll put my money on it.
You should play whatever stands out for you, it doesn't matter in the long run. Both are FPS, same game concept, minor gun changes, minor perk changes, etc. I'd suggest Black Ops mostly because you'll have less players playing MW2 considering most people don't play the original after the sequel comes out. i.e. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare has a tiny, tiny, tiny, tiny, tiny, tiny amount of players now.
If you getting on the 16th go to a friends house and try out black ops and see witch one you like better?
