Need help re-learning the game
I started the game in 2007. Since then I've been very on again off again, popping in once in a while. My last hiatus was after Luminous' release, and everything is very different. Many of the explorers were revamped, Ultimate adventurers can't be created any more, KoC can pass 120, many of the big training spots of old are dead, and the market is a complete mystery to me now. I need help figuring this all out again.
I've taken the time to get a few of the more recent classes leveled, primarily for link skills. I have:
134 Shadower
123 Thunder Breaker
133 Mercedes
70 Cannon Trooper
106 Buccaneer
72 Phantom
120 Angelic Buster
127 Luminous
115 Kanna
104 Shade
Three potentially open character slots, currently a xenon, demon avenger, and hayato, all under 40, and all pretty much there only for link skills (when/if I get around to leveling them.) I'm generally not fond of warriors or any warrior branch class, pretty much anything else is fair game.
That being said, I don't know what I should main any more. I am not funded well, I have maybe 10m across my toons on the server. The only potentially "good" items I have are three evolving rings, a legends ring, and a pair of 9atk work gloves. My explorers have access to a permanent persian cat pet, which is a nice perk, but they feel very weak compared to my other classes. I am not currently in any position to sink money into the game for any purpose.
Please help me prioritize which class(es) to level, where to level, what to farm/sell, equipment I should be farming... Anything helps right now.

I'll probably be leveling my Demon avenger, Mistwoven. I tend to swap a lot throughout the day. Friends are account-wide now? They really needed that xD

one of the pros to zero is that you never need to buy a weapon in your life for it.
con is getting a scroll to match it to a set.

I'm already kind of forcing myself to want to level Demon Avenger for the link skill, not sure I could handle another warrior >_>

I've heard nothing on emblems for any class, is there a particular questline to get them? I've been stockpiling my traces so far because I'm uncomfortable scrolling any of my gear (not good gear, not worth scrolling :l ) I had given monster park extreme a try, but found the daily 3x limit to be very... Limiting, for me. Are there other training spots for the 100-140 bracket when that's exhausted for the day? My server (Yellonde) is very difficult to find groups for PQs, especially since I tend to play later at night.

I saw they were revamped, do they still require cash books to max out some of their skills? I wasn't a huge fan of them at their launch.

I got this a long time ago, they sell perma NX items (pets included) once in a while in the cash shop. Any class can get them, I just got it on my explorer because it was my main at the time, and explorers share inventories, so any future explorers were free to use it as well.

Play a DB. Very fun, fast, strong, and having a perm pet that will pick up your loot is super helpful!
for characters with link skills, get them to lvl 120 for lvl2, especially Kanna.
Demon Slayer/Avenger are both a must.
Also, get characters to 100 for S card.
Scrolling your stuff is much easier now.
Just collecting tracers that drop from mobs enable you to scroll fluidly.
no need to waste nx to save slots, farm clean slate 10% from elite bosses while training.[or sell em each for 55mil each in your server]
All/Permanent Pets all come with autoloot functions, so use that to advantage.
Also Explorers get scrollable/potentialable emblems, a big plus from other classes that most rely on boss arena w.o potentials.
No need to make another thief explorer[or any other], just switch to DB or NL if you prefer either class for a fee based on lvl or Job Coin.
Leveling wise:
70-120+ Romeo Juliet PQ 10/day , 2lvl+/pq
120+ Monster Park Extreme 3Tickets a day
140+ Dimensional Invasion PQ -10/day, Evolution LAB 5/Day
165+ Second Drill Hall
Easiest to fund, with high damage class is Wind Archers atm.
Magicians are expensive, and ones that rely on magic guard require boost int+ for mp bonus and their 1b bottom.
Overall, to get far, you need to invest time and catch events. If you started earlier this summer, you would have milked it better

Honestly most things are pretty okay with me, things that are particularly spam-clicky (See: Aran, Shade's Bomb Punch) are awful to me, beyond that I'm just not a huge fan of generally slow classes, like warriors (Pre-revamp anyway, don't know how they are now.) I really want to make a beast tamer if only for the link skill, but they're not available :l
What are elite bosses? Horntail, Zak, things like that?
Determining a main will be very much up to you. I don't know what kind of playstyle you like. I'm a thief / warrior type of person (sadly the most expensive lol). Once u determine a main, it'll kinda be easier to figure which way you want to fund. Finishing your links would be beneficial. Xenon and DA are two of the best links (Kanna being as good as DA). Hayato's not as important, so if you want to make a new main, I would remove him. For making money, elite bosses would be the best way to do it.
