SO yeah just wanted to know if anyone has tried it and it really does improve gameplay/ processing.

Most likely not, no.
Nearly every game nowadays comes bundled with directx, chances are you already have a perfectly adequate version of the software available on your computer, and installing a new one wont do much, if anything.
