Why does everybody say Mikhail?

Before the class was even released in KMST or anything, he was always referred to as Mihile (Because that's the GMS name, mind you).
Now I see everybody saying Mikhail and questioning where people get Mihile from.

Are there really that many people who don't know?

@bubblecup118:
They were called Captain and Viper for about a week or two at release.

Mikhail is actually much easier to pronounce, its michael with a russian accent. Michael being a famous angel name u can see the relation to being a warrior of light. No idea whaat Mihile means or where its from. Mikhail (Mick-Hi-Ale)
It's spelled Mikhail in KMS--and it's hard to break habit of calling him "Mikhail".
well I dont understand then why you guys don't called the pirates Captain and Viper then. GMS name them corsair and buccaneer yet we have the habit of calling it corsair and buccaneer

"Mihile" is a Hebrew name, so it's true pronunciation is still pretty much "Mikhail"...

there's several quests (in GMS) that called him mikhail, i remember it confusing the hell out of me.

that one of empress cygnus of "kill the 5 captains" had him as mikhail for example.

The same reason everyone always whines about translations: it's not the "literal" translation. I mean, that goes for every game. People always complain that the English names suck and that the original names were better (even when they're not).

It's because we don't want to sound like that glittery-overly-cheerful-MIHILE voice that Nexon uses

Because we don't wanna say LKC. LHC is sooo much better.
This. Although I think all of KMS's translation for things sounds better. Lion King Castle reminds me of the movie so it loses all of it's cool aspects, "Let's go fight the LION KING." ... Wait what?

I think Mikhail is better than Mihile. Especially the way they were saying Mihile in the GMS promotion video. Totally killed it for me.

But he was called Mihile since Cygnus Knights were implemented...
True, but there's also the few years between Cygnus' release and Mikhail in KMS. Im sure so many people forgot--or just chose to go with "Mikhail" since thats the last thing they saw.
