@Sektec: hurr durr ultimate strafe till i get hyper snipe, I want SI because I never think to ask a BaM or just use azwan and get attack speed for myself. I have a normal speed weapon and every other bowman job in the game is laughing at my lack of a maximized speed skill.
But in all seriousness, while SI may be useful to you, many other jobs have absolutely no need for it whatsoever, and most phantom's won't go so far as to specialize just for you.
1st: haste (general), magic guard (defensive) can you steal sommersault kick? (iframes) 2nd: rage (party), dark clarity (solo), meso guard (solo defense), hyper body (party defense) 3rd: HS (duh), combo attack (boss), admiral's wings (tank the f*** out of me!) CO (party boss) 4th: Advanced Bless (party), Dark Harmony / Sharp Eyes (if dark harmony raises your range by 8% or more, use it. Otherwise use SE)
For 4th job Sharp Eyes, for sure. Your second 4th job skill depends. If you need a more powerful mobbing attack, then Eight Legs Easton. If you boss at Root Abyss, then try to get Resurrect, because it is spammable at those bosses, which is HIGHLY useful because of the death count. If not, then probably Advanced Blessing or Dark Harmony.
1st job : Haste 2nd job : Rage / Hyper Body 3rd job : Holy Symbol / Combo Attack 4th job : Dark Harmony / Advanced Blessing / 8 Leg Eason (I think) if your Mille is too weak.
