Quit prior to big bang, what has changed?

So I've since moved onto bigger and better games. I only played after big bang for like a few months, but then I quit because the grind is just stupid and the idea that I have to spend tons of money on miracle cubes to get good gear was stupid to me.

But nostalgia always takes the better of me and drives me back every few months to just see what the game is like. I've been playing ever since Ludi just came out. I miss the days sitting doing ludi pq spam clicking feeling like a boss, having pq tracks, grinding to get that next level and not having a care in the world.

The game since then took a huge turn, and just wasn't very fun. However, I have a bowman with a TON of equips and I'm thinking of coming back. So, what is the norm now? Do you quest to get exp? Is leveling near balanced across the board of all places? Is there a fun way to get statted equips without being loaded on money? Are the classes still imbalanced as hell?

Let me know

TBH, if you were moderatly funded with a lvl 100+ weapon, and scrolled semi-decent, it shouldn't be too hard to catch up. Just join a guild, make friends or whatever. Empress armor is 50m each, which should be enough for you to buy at least one piece or so. Just join a guild, to have fun. Remember, it doesn't have to be about damage.

I'd say the only things that haven't changed about this game are the name MapleStory, and how you have to spend money (or a lot of time and effort if you're too cheap) to get Cubes for good equips and stuff.

Don't come back you'll regret it.
You're lucky to be able to even quit.

Leveling is a lot easier than it used to be, whereas preBB it took at the fastest 1-2 weeks to get to 200, it can now be done in less than 24 hours.
No- You only need one stat.
Maybe possibly- they could be too low base attack to matter. There's a lot of higher level equips that most people use- Loveless & Empress
"So, what is the norm now? Do you quest to get exp? Is leveling near balanced across the board of all places? Is there a fun way to get statted equips without being loaded on money? Are the classes still imbalanced as hell?"

Also, are my equips still worthless if a bunch of them are miracle cubed items? I have plenty of 2-3 line uniques with stats like 6%/3% dex etc on them, I was doing actually ungodly damage and alot of my equips would sell for a few bil at the time I quit.

edit : OH wow, they got rid of secondary stats? explain more? D: so like if I was a sin and I just build pure luck, I don't need dex to equip stuff anymore?

Also, is it the norm now to be waaaay higher level than before? I'm seeing multiple 200's and 160+...back then that was pretty haRD
