Cannoneer

Starting a cannoneer

Hey guys, i just made a cannoneer and would like some more info on the class

What should i be expecting?
Do they have good damage?
Do they have good survivability?
Is their play style boring and repetitive or do they have a lot of skills at their disposal?

I've bought 5 Loveless Cannons for fun for like 50m each. They have to be around 149-151 Attack to buy for that much and it's common to find those. Dude they are really fun and once we get hypers, we become the 6th best DPS Class In-game(According to SouthPerry)
One more question, will a decent cannon cost me a lot or are they relatively cheap (I'm in bera, but any world's general prices help too)
Super cheap. But don't expect them to be lying around. They are hard to come by but people will dump them for cheap.

Attack speed is pretty darn slow until 3rd job when you have passive attack speed boost combined with booster. Mobility doesn't really kick in until 3rd job when you get monkey magic maxed with cannon jump. Range is pretty unstable because mastery caps at a low amount.
Unfunded and funded damage is fairly high because a lot of your skills passively increase ATT or % damage.
Survivability is fairly high, you have a decent amount of HP due to being STR based, have a link skill and buff that increase max HP, and Counter Crash at 4th job with Pirate's Spirit is a 35% block rate which if triggers nulls incoming damage and maintains your HP during a 1v1 (except for the doctor's room in RLH LOL). Distance range is pretty awesome.
Two summons at 4th job makes things a bit interesting. It can be repetitive but who isn't to say the same for other classes?

We've got good damage at I think.
We have amazing party skills (e.g Monkey Magic and others.)
Mobile for sure and pretty underated so low equips

"What should I be expecting?"

Cannoneers are fairly hard-hitting. Though they aren't incredibly fast, they make up for it in their large damage per hit. Cannon Bazooka is a noteworthy mobbing skill which has an exceptional range and deals a fair bit of damage. Survivability-wise, they have a naturally high HP and a variety of skills to solidify their status such as Monkey Magic (+HP), Counter Crash (20% chance of blocking) and Pirate Rush (+20% HP, +50% DEF, +20% Abnormal status resistance).

Unfortunately, it doesn't necessarily have an extensive, elaborate link of skills like Dual blader or Hayato, but I do personally enjoy the class regardless.

Edit:

Even if it isn't your cup of tea, making it is definitely worth it just for the sake of the huge inventory space and link skill. Cannoneers certainly make good mules.

Expect: Flashy Skills
Depends on how much you fund them, my cannoneer has 5 pieces of empress clean and has like 30k ish range
Survivability: One skill, Pirate Spirit
Not really, I find them to be quite mobile for the class they are.
