How to find backstabbers in your buddy list/alliance
Disclaimer: There are much more easier (yet possibly not fun) ways to find backstabbers in your buddylist/alliance.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=No65IoJrVkg (you might need to increase the quality to see the numbers)
Every now and again when I hit max mesos I remember that I can make this shop (which I've been doing since 2012 after seeing all the people who just spammed 1 meso shops).
After a few good laughs with my friends I would tell them to drop discrete hints of my shop like
"yo should I buy this prot scroll for 50m" or
"hey theres a lemon shooting ring perm 10m should i buy" etc etc
(my shop wasnt appearing on the owl site yet because I tracked their bot to make sure they were in a FM that seemed farther away)
this is a test to see if there would be someone out there in your alliance/buddy list who would try to find the deal you're referring to and attempt to snatch it up before you can...
AND IT WORKED!
many of my friends dropped discrete hints and saw members of their alliance/buddy lists show up in the shop and then theres that moment when you're like
"excuse me wut i didnt invite your ass here did i?" and then they have to leave in shame because they obviously tried to steal the deal you mentioned
so to every comment I got saying my store is completely useless. HA! no its not!
and thats how I spent my weekend how bout you guys?
It's not stealing lol, there is no point. You're just trying to shift the guilt away right now.
id disagree. if they werent looking for something like that but they track you down or owl it or use an owl site because you mentioned it that is clearly an attempt
to get it before you

well now my friends know which of their alliance members to keep information from... however you see it doesnt change that theyre better informed
How is this backstabbing. You didn't make any agreement between your guildies you just baited them into thinking it was a good deal and suspected that they were backstabbers. It's like randomly leaving delicious pizzas in front of your friends home and expecting them not to eat it when they come back.
This is just you being a D
This.
If you didn't buy it, anyone else has the right to buy no matter if they were told of a good deal. You don't have the right to buy it just because you 'saw' it first "guys! should I buy this tyrant for 1 mesos? idk price lol!" this is not a deal, this is purely baiting.
yes. this is. that is not the point. it actually does tell you who would steal a deal from you...
the fact that you're even testing your "friends" by baiting them lol
I'm glad that the closest relationship I've ever had with you was being alliance members. This thread legit saved me from you in-game.
i tested no one o_O
(talk to james about it tho)
You can't 'invite' someone to your mushy which is open to the public in ch 1, asking the guild 'if i should buy this for X mesos' is not a deal, no deal has been made so anyone could come up and buy it doesn't matter who it is (especially when you're deliberately baiting them).
it shows that if there was an actual deal (as in bargain not agreement to buy something...) that person WOULD show up and steal it from you...
and guess what they get for trying it here. NOTHING muahahahahahahahahahahahhahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha
but if theyre not in that shop and you mention that deal then how is it not trying to steal it from you? you were there first o_O
I play with my RL friends, so...
it's saying something about you too, if you feel the need to test your friends
i'm confident in my choice of friends - they're great, even online ones. @Accomplished is probably the best pet ever and @GenesisAura = a lovely slave
my friends are the ones testing.... i dont just buddy anyone. im confident in my friends as well. they're the ones testing their friends/alliances...
simple o_O you did not invite anyone to buy this item instead.
some people DONT show up to steal your deal. some people DO.
I agree with ditguys. If my roommate texted me and asked "hey there is a box of krispy kreme donuts in our
mailbox should I eat it?" I would probably run to check and eat it all haha. Though seriously, they might have
thought hey they don't want to buy it or hey they might not have enough money. It happens fairly often just like
two friends bidding on the same item. Gets ugly at times but meh friends till the end~

for me yes i am being much D and giving people excitement. READ THE STORE TITLE...
the point was that others used it to test their friends/alliance and they got results out of it

blind this blind that, blah blah blah. you sure are being a troll today.
@Drextal: and I see you'll continue to blindly make ignorant statements to satisfy your own ego.
hey, same could be said about you. calm down today. >.<
Well I mean it's the internet, why would I trust my BL/Guild to begin with?
Pointless drama is pointless.
continue blindly trusting all your friends & alliance members then :]
I wouldn't consider this backstabbing but just weeding out people I wouldn't want to associate with on MS.
in a way yes it isnt directly backstabbing.
but you ask for a price check and a person tries to steal the deal from you...
A decent way to find out if someone is a possible scammer.
