Help Basil having computer trouble
I have a Dell demension E521 and when I press the power button the number 3 light comes on then it goes blank. Nothing shows up and the monitor says "no signal". I tried cleaning out all the dust , that didn't work. Basil help!

That means the computer isn't sending anything to the monitor to display.
In other words, the computer isn't working.
Unfortunately that kind of thing can be tough to diagnose unless you're familiar with working inside computers and have the spare parts needed to swap in and pin down the exact cause. It could be the power supply has died, the CPU, or the motherboard.
Try laying it on its side with the cover off and see if any of the fans start up when you press the power button.
If nothing at all happens, it could be the power supply, or the motherboard.
If the fans run it could be the CPU or the motherboard.
If you have a separate video card, it could be the video card has died, but that's a distant possibility.
Probably the best thing to do would be to take it in for service.
