@richboyliang: Not really, It's quite easy to hit hard on a bishop . Their % are very high.

@BlazeXDude: i'll take SS when maplestory gets back up. but maybe it might help to know that the character that is now a bishop was my very first character ever, created in 2005, and was level 8 a few weeks ago until i used the 1+1 potions on him. i gave him one of many hot time ap resets but i remember originally giving up on him because (being new to maplestory back then) i put a few levels of ap into hp so he wouldn't die as much

then something is wrong with ur char
i have about 13% int at lvl 110 and i can do 35k on shining ray with about 11~12k range
dragon wand 123 m atk weapon. don't know where you get 39-40k range without spending money, that's more than my 159 AB. other equips are zak helm, democrat balloon, nimble rings, random crap pot mage overall and shoes, and pendant of the spirit. don't have angel ray, not gonna spend mesos on skill book so waiting for someone to take me czak and revive me at end to pick up angel ray. reverse staff trade disabled when equipped, nty. i gained levels 110-147 as an hs slave in lkc.

... why don't you use angel ray? + what weapon were you using on your bishop? Reverse staffs are easily obtainable now... you should have well over 9k buffed range.
I'm 142 Bishop with a 39-40k buffed range atm.
Although that's mainly due to the fact that my friend lent me his 218 m att VIP staff
my 147 bishop with 15% int earrings had 9k buffed range and hits ~25k a line of shining ray. pretty sure all my other unfunded characters hit harder at that level. take my 140 dual blade using mesoranger and 3% luk earrings, 3% luk boots, and hits almost as much each line of blade fury. @D3rpppp

it's people like you that spend real money to make bishops look strong. lots of real money. more money than if you wanted another class to hit as hard.

210 matt wand around 300 matt total and ~75% int got me to 35k range with ab and lvl 10 mw. Hit like 300ks if I remember correctly. Been a while since I played on it.
On my lvl 182 Magew with like 40%-50% int I hit 250k ea line. Though, it all depends on your base int and what your weapon has for magic attack. I'd got for 75% and more, if you wanna hit 500k ea line with a 220+ m att staff.

They're actually pretty strong.. people just neglect the fact that they can't be because they are viewed as HS mules.

damm you only need about 100%int to hit 500k per line thats pretty strong why do ppl say bishops are weak lol
Amount of funding depends on the person. What range though? I would say about 60-65k to hit 500k per line with crit, since that is what it takes me with with cheese.

My bishop is lvl 191 and has 68k range, and I can easily hit 510k per line self buffed with AB30 and MW30
From equips alone, i def have 300+ mg.att and I have 98% INT (not including MW)
that's kinda like asking "what numbers can you add to get 500?" well... you can go with 1+499 or perhaps 50+450. but if you're really feeling gutsy, you might want to try 250+250.
