I need help. I give. Dx

Hey Basil.

I'm going on my 6th year playing maple. I love this game and don't think I'll ever fully quit. My bro plays to so it never really gets old.

I've come to the point where I actually do want to be a funded player; if even only some. I've always tried, bought NX ($100+) and never invested right. I guess I'm at the point where it's so normal for me to be broke and unfunded that it doesn't seem possible no matter how much I spend.

I'm not asking for stuff. I just want someone to help me who has actually done good; Is funded.

I just found out that even though DS are horribly ugly they're are really fun, and even though they aren't really OP ATM I don't even care.

So, if one of you wants to help guide me, or be a maple buddy, even add me to a friendly active guild I'd really appreciate it.

Maples down now so if you want PM me.

Thanks a bunch guys. <3

@Arullen427: In that case, I would say invest in %str equips, but kaiser's coming and %str is on the rise... : The best thing to do in this case is to either:
A.) Wait for %str to be in less demand and drop in price to become affordable
B.) Attempt to craft your own %str items. Crafting can even generate a ton of Diligence if you're consistently crafting daily. As someone previously mentioned, if you manage to craft something to 3-line, you can work with cubing your own stuff, though it "can" get costly. Another advantage to making your own stuff is the possibility of making something awesome that you can't necessary make good use of, but can sell for a large sum.

However, I can actually also ask you this: Would you be interested in making a Brawler Pirate? They major in %str, but not for warriors, so pirate exclusive %str should be quite cheap i believe. Also, they are pretty similar to warriors.

Hope I'm not talking your head off too much! </3
@Arullen427: Yeah I agree. It is easy to overspend even when trying to merch if a budget isn't set to prevent overspending. If you manage to find extremely cheaper than usual scrolls, take advantage of them. Sometimes, you might be able to re-sell for more $$. But in the case you're asking me for, since there is the Tempest event going on, I usually farm coins and get the Tempest Scrolls to scroll certain items with (I'm a risk-taker, so I do the 40%s ). Due to greed, I blew a Cupid's Bow that I managed to get 3 of those 40%s to work on, so self-scrolling "can" lead to getting a tad greedy, so careful! And strive to only buy equipment either when you're definitely sure you're gonna stick to the character you put funds into or when it's extremely cheap. I have a serious problem of staying committed to one character, and thus burn my money quickly! >.<
Okok, so after reading all that helpfulness, what do I do if I tend to suck at sticking with one character? Right now I like classes that use warrior based equips.

@matiasmiesbello Thanks, actually that was really helpful. I'm going to say that luck doesn't exist because I've never had it but hay, who knows.

So, now I just have to keep myself at a good enough amount of mesos to scroll and buy my equips.

I shall conquer! Haha

Is it worth cubing some things? Or should I just buy them?

Edit: @ above: How do I get max diligence?

During the summer, I was able to double my damage without spending too much nx. It was only about $20 dollars worth, but the majority of it was for a perma pendant slot and a shop. If you learn to merchant efficiently, good percent gear is VERY easy to come by. 9% earrings are only 100m and 15% ones about 700m. If you have the time, now is when everything's relatively cheap.
This sounds verry similar to my experience actually. However, I can tell you this; there is not only "one" way of getting funded. There are a variety of things you can do to get mesos and funds. Primarily involving getting a shop permit/mushie, you can merch outside/inside the FM, which can be time-consuming, but will benefit your knowledge of prices for future merching purposes. Something I tend to do, which I don't really recommend, due to its level of risk, is slapping EEs on stuff that seems to be a decent price in shops, and then re-selling it for 10m+ more than what it was previously worth. I've managed to pick up about 100m profit with this so far, but as I mentioned before, people do not always have to conform to just "one" way of getting there.
TLDR; Find a way to get around this obstacle by taking advantage of merching tactics primarily. Someday, if you hang in there long enough, your opportunity will rise! Don't feel discouraged!

Sorry, I can pretty much only offer pep talk.... Hope it helps to motivate you somehow...
Haha thanks. I guess it's a time thing then hunh? I don't need guides for anything anymore cuz I know the game so well but I loose my @ss every time I attempt to merch. Should I buy equips? Or every time I get some extra cash try and scroll my own stuff?

Buy tons of NX.

Sell tons of NX

Buy tons of duped gear.

Get your duped gear deleted

Cry.

Quit.

Return

Rinse and repeat.
