Maplestory is pissing me off

idk is this happening to anyone else, or if it's just my wifi/whatever even though it's incredibly strong;
Today is the last day for tempest coins, maybe even the tempest shop since it may not be like the Resistance shop (events ending, shop staying)
I can't even go on without the game lagging not in moving around but in the npcs talking.. It takes so long and then I d/c
Like seriously? It's been happening during the whole dang event and it isn't even crowded today
