Luminous

Will Luminous be nerfed?

You remember how bad phantoms and DS got nerfed..
Do you think luminous will be nerfed to smithereens as well?
They are pretty powerful right now.

what the posts above me said. being an owner of a 14x lum currently, it's safe to say that our advantage quickly dissipates once we reach LHC/Bossing. Once you reach the stronghold maps (16x-18x), reflection won't even seem that effective because most classes can hit most monsters due to the small maps. I doubt that there will be a nerf, if so, maybe on the range of spectral light (that might be a considerable nerf too) but as you reach 100 and get reflection, you do not get to "exploit" (for lack of a better term) the skill because as you level up and move onto other sources of EXP, reflection's mobbing advantage shrinks while our speed and pure DPS DISADVANTAGE increases.
No, they're going to stay OP forever.
Joking aside, yes. They received a slight "nerf" (buffed Reflection, nerfed Equilibrium time and Apocalypse) in KMS once Unlimited hit. Since in GMS they're stronger than they ever were in KMS, you can expect a heavier nerf for them to balance them a bit more with the other classes. As for how heavy the nerf will be, it's anyone's guess right now, I'm predicting they'll readjust to make it current KMS's values.
Actually, kms lumi > gms lumi, gms came with half the nerfs already

I just really want Reflections range nerfed to be like Chain Lightning maybe even slightly increased.

But the current Reflection is just incredibly irritating and messes up spawn if the Lumi cant kill mobs fast enough.

Actually we basically have the post nerf/buffed version of the kms luminous... Except we got a larger nerf since we have a 3 min cd to spam ender and kms has about a 30 sec. If we do get a nerf it's going to be a very slight nerf.

It amuses me that people just see numbers and instantly cry OP, when you have to take a lot more into account as to whether a class is balanced, yes, reflect hits a lot of the map, and on smaller maps can easily clear it, but its slow, painfully so, also, lumis are far better at training than they are at bossing, with relying on equilibrium to do the main amount of damage, requires building up light and dark points in order to switch between to two as fast as possible.
Phantoms and demonslayers are extraordinary bossers, but they do lack more when it comes to mobbing and training.
Lumi's actually come into gms with the post kms tweaks already done for the large part, no, we wont be seeing a massive nerf, because while we're awesome mobbers, we're horrible bossers

@MapleSpirit:

Yes, ever since nexon "fixed" it to reduce the lag a couple of months ago, it's quicker to charge AA.

LOL no. I just tried it on my I/L and F/P (on a mob of 5+).

@AznFlip:

Definitely not 1 cast. There is a 50% chance, and you must attack the monsters at least 3 times before it can be activated. It can only be stacked up to one time per cast.

Yes, but if you're in a map that requires you to move around, it's easy to lose the effect.
True, but it can take as little as one cast to fully charge AA, regaining it's effect isn't that hard.
Arcane Aim has to be charged up, as in we need to attack many times before it activates completely, and if you don't attack for a short time, the entire effect is lost and you have to recharge it.
My point was that Dark Crescendo and Arcane Pitch combined make the same basic concept of Arcane Aim, they are similar more than they are different. They would be identical if it weren't for the fact that Dark Crescendo takes longer to charge and Arcane Aim is shorter duration.
(I know how AA works, I have a Fire/Poison AM, thank you very much.)

Arcane Aim is Arcane Pitch and Dark Crescendo combined (with 10% more damage and 20% less defense ignore and no elemental removal because they already have one). Reflection mostly needs a slightly smaller range, but it becomes infinitely less problematic outside of Aliens.

i wouldnt like to see them become an unplayable class when unfunded like DS or Phantom..
Ds is practically unplayable even when funded...
Luminous is a fun class but they are a bit too powerful, as expected with a new class

the thing about the demon cry thing is that it's only relevant at aliens.

other than that it kinda won't do anything.
i do the same, as soon i see one coming into my map i leave. Most of encounters with people who have a lumi have been bad. The only other class who can stand a chance at outksing a lumi is a ds using demon cry but even doing that you going to have to stop spamming it because you need to refill your gauge while lumis can just spam reflection
Well, after LHC, it's not really an issue anymore. It's really only for people who stay at aliens and Jesters etc. Those maps are guaranteed KS zones anyway. I prefer to train at regular spots like Magatia, Herb Town, Deep Ludi etc. Nobody ever bothered me there. -shrug-
Although playing my Lumi is fun for the precise fact that it's so powerful without any funding, I do hope they get nerfed. It's come to the point to whenever a Lumi comes into my channel while I'm training, I just cc automatically. There's no way my NL can stand up to their OP mobbing skills.
I agree with most of this, but what's wrong with pitch? It's just 40% def ignore and element removal.

Lumi needs a nerf, I'm tired of seeing them overpower me so much when they aren't even that funded. .__.

And I'm funded (Not to the point of being godly but I'm not noob either) >.>

Tbh a good decrease in their skill % dmg would make me happy... I wouldn't mind everything else being the same.

@SoCalKing: By clean equips, I mean the level 50 crap that they hand out for free during that event.

It urks me to see my Shad with about 1.5b worth of equips get trampled over by a Luminous wearing clean equips.
.... 1.5bil is barely enough for a 15% luk top...
of course you're getting trampled >_> Full tempest set alone is enough for quite a hefty amount of magic attack.
