Thread on Gender

[header]NOTE[/header]
This thread is inspired by many threads on Basil. For today, it' http://www.basilmarket.com/forum/2732988
Please make suggestions for this thread (hopefully it will be a meaningful one).

[header]MAIN CONTENT[/header]
Guys, the word "gay" is very vague. Please read what I have to say (based on both facts and opinions of yours truly).
The following are the four characteristics of humans that does, may, or may not attribute to the genders.

[header2]1. Appearance[/header2]
Characteristics (in appearance) that different cultures does, may, or may not attribute to the genders.
In some cultures, especially modern/pop culture, it's more acceptable to look androgynous, metrosexual, etc.
In some cases, what is accepted to be masculine in one culture may be considered as feminine in another culture, and vice versa, or unisex.

Examples:
-Women that wears tuxedo
-Men (as the sex) that prefers to put on women's make-up on a daily basis
-Cross-dressing for a cosplay convention
-Metrosexual
-Man carrying a purse (purse can be referred to as wallet, hand bag, coin purse, etc.)
-"High heels" (the term "high heels" is often used as a connotation referred to as women's shoes with high heels)

[header2]2. One's actions[/header2]
Characteristics (in actions; does not include sexual intercourse) that different cultures does, may, or may not attribute to the genders and/or sexes.
How people act.
In some cultures, it's okay for one gender to do something that another culture may consider it as a taboo for that gender.

Examples:
-One male and another male holding hands over the age of thirteen, but only as friends (a HUGE TABOO in places such as the USA)
-A male acting as a female in a play (e.g. kabuki)

[header2]3. The reproductive organs[/header2]
Your reproductive organs define your sex (definition: either the male or female division of a species, especially as differentiated with reference to the reproductive functions.), not your sexual orientation.
Originally, the most widely-accepted norm on planet earth is that one's sex is strictly linked to one's gender. But now we have masculine women, feminine men, androgynous men/women, and more. I guess you can call it a trend.

Example:
-Born with a wee wee: It's a boy!

[header2]4. Sexual orientation[/header2]
One's sexual preference.

Examples:
-Heterosexual
-Homosexual
-Bisexual (with distinctive gender characteristics and no transgender)
-Bisexual (with distinctive gender characteristics but transgender is okay)
-Pansexual
-Pedophilia (during the age of underdeveloped reproductive organs as well as during the stage of weak gender identification of oneself, primarily pre-adolescence).
-Mostly androgynous
-Zoophilia
-Object sexuality
-Asexual

Biromantic and panromantic are not sexuality, but romantic relationships.
Example (for males):
-Choosing your best male friend over some hot girl
-Holding hands with another dude
-Feeding food to another guy's mouth
-Taking pictures together in a phone booth with another dude
-BROMANCE.
-BROMANCE.
-BRO
-MANCE

[header]OK, OK, FINE.[/header]
I was just trying to clarify misunderstandings for people that actually care. Since there isn't much to talk about in this thread, I will come up with something to discuss about.

Which characteristics do you have in each of the four categories?

[header2]Example[/header2]
1. Appearance
I don't follow trends very often, but I do wear clothes according to the gender roles in North America.

2. Actions
I'm not too uptight about how I act. But the way I act resembles the male gender during majority of the times, except when watching TV. The way I act changes accordingly when I meet different people. (e.g. I talk differently to my girlfriend from the way I walk to my friends)

3. Sex
Male

4. Orientation
-hetero
-not extremely upright on bromance (but it's still below the creeper-o-meter)

@Mewtwo
This thread is mainly for the people who care.

@sparkshooter @Collee
I made this thread to clarify misunderstandings. I know I'm not 100% accurate. But at least I'm more accurate than the majority.
I just added a topic to discuss about.

@LimusocoBobo
Err...sure......whoever that is. *cough*

@jums
Because you care? You mean you don't?

I don't understand what we're supposed to be discussing. Your post is factual information.

Philia's != sexualities.

I guess you could call it a preference, but "child" isn't a sex, it's an age.
