Returning Evan - girl, what039s my damage

Evan Forum Talk about Evan

heeeeek Level 62 Windia Luminous 3
Hello! I'm a returning player with a Lvl 156 Evan as her main. While I've been playing Maple for a few years now (since 2008), I play infrequently (maybe 2-3 weeks out of the year) and I realize I don't really know much about this game and how I should best utilize my AP/SP, mesos, NX, etc. I pretty much only play it because it's a good way to kill time but now I think it'd be really fun to actually take it seriously (lul).

I have no idea how to gauge my damage because it was never something I was really concerned about. When I look at my stats, it says my damage range is 32688~34408 (?? correct me if I'm reading this wrong) and when I'm training I deal ~100k per line. Would anyone be able to tell me if that's low? And if so, how can I increase it?

Equip: Staff with 165 mAtk, three Maple Saint equips with 16 mAtk, and everything else I have equipped adds an extra 20 (got lazy, soz). Equips also add ~100 to base stats.

Many thank-you's in advance (and GL dealing with this hot mess).

If you only play 2 - 3 weeks out of the year, anything that anybody will say right now may not be applicable in a year's time or beyond that, given the constant updates and changes to the game. The fact that you only focus on the mAtk stat in your post and you give nothing else about your equipment says a lot about how much you're keeping up with the current pace of the game. If you really want to improve, you're going to have to spend the time to do so (or throw a lot of real-life money at the game if you're playing in a non-Reboot server). MapleStory is kind of one of those games that requires a hefty amount of time in order to improve at.

In short: yes, your damage is incredibly low for a level 156 Evan. Get the Fafnir set of gear, if you can't afford it get the Pensalir set (level 140+). Try to get Gollux gear. Aim for Sweetwater Glasses & Tattoo. If you can find/cube equipment with % stat potentials (especially ones relevant to Evan like % INT or % Magic Att), that's good. Make some Link Skill mules. Those are just some pointers out of many. I could explain more, but that would create one ridiculous essay that nobody has the time for.

This forum is mostly dead. I recommend you go here if you have any other questions - it will also help to clarify & explain further some of the things I've said.
