in pvp, i've always placed in top 2
basically all i do is adv dark chains then spam quint blow(70+) or finishing blow(120+)
sometimes i'll use twister spin and if i'm about to die, i use dark gen
I did better on my DW in PvP than on my BaM.

A good winning strategy though is this:

1. Start off in blue aura, use boost. Attack like crazy, grabbing buffs.
2. When invincibility wears off, go twister. If you're far enough away, ada first.
3. As your twister is about to wear out, tele away just a touch and prepare to party shield. People will usually rush in at you as you're casting. There's a 1-2 second delay after casting where you aren't invincible, so use shock or, better, use adc, then dc, THEN shock. That combo is actually a 1hko about 70-80% of the time.
4. go out with a bang. if you're about to die, go out with a dark gene. Chances are, someone's weakened from the fight and is trying to snipe you to death. Deal him the same punishment.

tips:
[*]USE FINISHER. It has insane range and does a nice chunk of damage. There's no excuse to not use it.
[*]no teleport mastery on. It's a waste and lags you.
[*]tele around like a crazy person. makes you harder to hit and throws people off-guard
[*]string together normal dark chain and adv dark chain into a macro for PvP, with adc first.
[*]even if you don't need them, loot all the buffs except for the random ones. even if you don't NEED them, loot the potions. if you get them, your opponents can't use them, get it?

@ShadowMarck:
You get two more in fourth: party shield and twister, or as I call it, Trollnado.
This guy is absolutely right. Battle Mage invincibility topples any other strategy. 10 seconds (60 if you're in a team match with another BaM) from Body Boost, 30 seconds from Party Shield, 20 seconds from Twister Spin... Coupled with the great defense boost from ABA, you'll dominate any PvP match.

@Oucran: Most BaMs have a fast speed staff anyway.

I feel like I take less damage when in TS in PvP though.
We only have one: Blue Aura with Body Boost.

But basically you have two options:
One, use Blue BB after getting the attack boost to get invincibilty and tear apart the enemies before it wears off.
Two, use Dark BB after getting the fist and OHKO everything with dark shock.
1. Party Shield
2. Blue aura w/ Body Boost
3. Twister Spin (invincible when spinning)

You only need 2 battle skills: Dark Chain and Multi Blow
It also helps to use the buffs.

Omg thanks for all the replies <3
The PvP buff items that drop. The fist shaped one that gives you a massive damage increase.

Well I recently started PvPing again (need...forge...rising...sun...set...) and found it to be fun and easy as a BaM. I wasily won every single match (despite having to use a reverse staff after booming my old elemental staff trying to enhance it... damn 90% chance....). I find that my best bet is to drop down, use PS, toss out a D. Gen to soften everyone up, search for a Fist (massive power increase), activate BB and kill everything until it runs out, use TS and try to kill someone with it, then run around picking people off and retreating to heal if I get hurt badly until any of those 4 CD skills is back. Any time I find a fist I grab it (even if I already have one on just so no one else can get it....) and find the nearest group of enemies to kill.

Watch out for Bishops and warriors. Dispel and Magic Crash are both really really annoying to be hit with. Doom is even worse and Bishops tend to full heal just as you think they are going to finally die. You will be better off finding an easier target and racking up some points rather than getting into a grueling duel with a Bishop.

I haven't played my BaM since i quit but...
Use advanced blue aura. It absorbs so much damage, its so useful. Also, use this with body boost and you'll get like a minute of invincibility. So much iwin with this strategy.
If you want to even be more successful in PvP then you can party up with another BaM. Let them use ABA while you use ADA and they have to be close. Once you have their ABA and your ADA mixed up you can use body boost so you have 60 seconds of invincibility AND that damage increase ADA gives.
Oh and don't forget using both chain skills. They each stun for one second and they both have a five second cooldown.

I lag quite badly in PVP since i'm from AUS...

But i'm able to rack up a good 500+ points in free for all using blow skill + shock. And yes! turn off tele mastery...it slows you down.

I don't like BaMs in pvp, they have like 3 invincibility moves, and make me QQ.
YES I'M MAD

Rule 1: Pick up the fist. BAM!(lolgetit?) you win.

Well not exactly anyway.
2: Blue aura. Once you get the fist, run into the mob and use body boost. It's beneficial if you do it below 20% health, but don't worry about that too much.
3: Use both dark chains. They have a 5 second cd, and they stun the opponent for about a second. So yeah.
Oh, and shock should get rid of about 60-90% hp with the fist. If tele mastery gives tele a delay, turn it off.

And that's it for 3rd job skills.
I myself am not very good at PvP due to the fact that I lag like all hell will break loose if Maplestory does not DC, BUT, if you don't lag, try to explore your skills, all of them.
For instance, you can try to tele frag your opponents by teleporting everywhere in the map, avoiding attacks if you can while attacking. Sort of like a defense/attack mechanism. Seeing that you're in your 4th job, you can try using the Twister skill(forgot its name, my bad). Monsters aren't ever able to hit you while you're in your twister mode so I assume it's the same with other players (Any confirmations? I'd do it myself but the lag is just too immense D: ). You could use those two skills and teleport around the map till you set your eyes one someone who'll die if he's entangled in your twister of death. You can try using Finishing Blow, but you'd need to be accurate with that and time it right, at least I think you do, don't take my word for it.
Good luck!
I will explore once the PVP maintainence is over. Thanks for the valuable suggestions <3
It's kinda hard to wait for the 5 other people to enter, so I dont PvP anymore, even in Windia.

But when I DO PvP, I see a lot of battle mages using the faster attacks, because I dont think there are crit dmg.
Just like in the witch hunt, you have the same dmg over and over.
Unless the text above the person you're killing is diff.
ex; good & awesome.

I havent PvPed in so long...
You should try PVP! Thanks for your suggestions too <3
