Opinions on Pokemon black and white 2
EDIT: For the new water gym leader, basil won't let me say the name
EDIT 2: Gameplay footage will be shown on today's episode of Pokemon Smash. I belive it's at 6/6:30 eastern. I don't have a link right now for it, but you should be able to search it on youtube.
As you may already be aware of, May's issue of CoroCoro got leaked, regarding information on black and white 2. What we know so far is the following:
-Black Kyurem is 3.3m, 325 kg. Freeze Shock is its signature move.
-White Kyurem is 3.6m, 325 kg. Ice Burn is its signature move.
-The game is set two years after Pokémon Black and White.
-There have been many changes to the Unova region. There appears to be an encroaching ice sheet or glacier, and the water in the area around the Entralink has dried up.
-The northern and eastern parts of Unova have been covered by this ice, and Opelucid City is just on the border of being covered.
-There appear to be cave entrances to the glacier.
-There are two new towns and at least on new route to the southwest.
-The road between Castelia City and Nimbasa City is complete.
-A new building has been added to the front of Nimbasa City, and a new area to the east of the Rondez-View Ferris Wheel.
-Driftveil City's lighthouse is gone, and several craters have appeared in the city.
-There is now a settlement on Route 4
-Liberty Garden is now shown of the official artwork of the map, and appears to have been revamped.
-The construction zone and Freezing Container south of Driftveil are both gone.
-There is a section taken out of the side of the mountain in eastern Unova, and there are several buildings here.
-Challenger's Cave has disappeared.
-The Entralink's moat is now dry, and the inner area has changed.
-300 Pokémon in addition to the original 156 Unova Pokémon are now available.
-The Unova Pokédex also appears to have drastically changed, with Riolu being #033, Psyduck being #026, and Metagross being #264.
-The Pokémon Psyduck, Arcanine, Lapras, Eevee, Mareep, Tyranitar, Metagross, Buneary, Riolu, Lucario, Weavile all appear to be in the new regional Unova Pokédex.
New characters
The next two pages reveal information about the new player characters, rival, and Gym Leaders:
-There are two new player characters; the male is the characters revealed yesterday on the cover, while the female has not been seen before.
-The character wearing red that was seen yesterday is the new rival; he is said to be a childhood friend of the player. He is a passionate boy who wages on a Pokemon's strength.
-The rival is quoted as saying "From now, I'm going to rage!"
-The girl with the guitar is Homika, a new Poison-type Gym Leader. Her Gym is said to be a "Live House" (a Japanese term for a music club where live bands play). She will appear in the anime in an episode on June 14.
-The tanned male in the swimming costume, a new Water-type Gym Leader. He is described as a big-hearted big brother who gives passionate advice.
-The man in the lab coat is Akuroma. He is researching Pokémon strength. A cut-off portion of the photo mentions he is doing something regarding the latent abilities of Pokémon. He is said to be mysterious and hard to read.
New starting city
-The next two pages reveal information about the new starting city and new facilities:
-The new starting city is Hiougi City, located in the south-west of the map.
-Its main point of interest is its lookout. There is a Pokemon Center and Trainers' School; this is the first time the starting city has included either, as well as the first time the starting location is a city and not a town.
-There are several new facilities. One image shows a large glass tube going through water with Mantine swimming overhead.

I still haven't beat the Silver soul and white version
Hi, i have pokemon White. i don't have any event pokemon. and i was wondering if someone can give me a shiney or a normal zoroua. ( inbox me )
Also a question. if you have a shiney pet and you leave it at the daycare with a ditto. will the egg hatch a shiney baby?

BW protags are 15. As for BW2, not sure. They might as well be 17.
i love pokemon and i thought it was called pokemon gray becuase they always do a continuation. For example - pearl/diamond= platinum.
i posted my thoughts on tumblr but i don't want to c&p and look like a total copout so i'll just summarise i guess
- region is actually fundamentally different for once which is great and i like the idea of starting in a city
- the glacier is a really neat function and i'm looking forward to see how they implement the cave entrances (hoping for a frozen mt. coronet of sorts)
- all the new characters are great
- water-type leader is mako tsunami
- female protagonist is the cutest thing on this earth ever
- male protagonist is a little weird but his design is growing on me
- hoping for the return of the strength motif from the B/W conversations between cheren and alder, as both the rival and the labcoat guy (who i assume is the new main antagonist) are associated to the strength of pokémon in some way
- still don't know whether or not the new regional pokédex will have 300, like serebii says, or 300 plus the original unova 156 like bulbapedia says
overall i'm really pleased with what we know so far and super excited for more information
Honestly, I do Pokemon now for competitive battling, so I'm alright with anything they do.

i'm so bummed that the new gym leader is like...burnt black and not just a black guy. seriously doesn't make sense to me.
otherwise the new character designs are all great and the story seems interesting. disappointed that the Unova dex got all shifted so now you get stuff from earlier gens but ah well, everything can't be great.

Never realised that Japanese games used the metric system, the European and American editions all use the imperial system (even though all of Europe uses metric)
With all these Pokemon from older regions coming into Unova before National Dex, I'm wondering whether eventually starter Pokemon will be able to be found in the wild one day.
