4th Job Advancement
I recently got to 120 and to advance in my job I need to kill Manon and Griffey. I tried 4-5times already and died all times. Is it possible for someone to trade me the quest items I need to complete the quest or do I have to do it all by myself? Seems pretty impossible for me. (Paladin/White Knight)
Please if you can list all the possible ways to complete this quest of getting heroic pentagon and star.
Edit: Defeated both bosses and now a paladin. Did on the first try after I posted this thread thanks for the help!

@cLearLybaD: not anymore. Both manon and Griffy are "instanced" for explorers meaning they have infinate spawn and you are the only one allowed in

if you used all that shield mastry with a 1 handed sword and power guard, then you would be unkillable, even with the 1/1s i dont get why white knights use 2 handed items >_>
how is it hard to do on a warrior, try doing it on a Priest w/ only one good attack. it took me 17 tries to kill manon and like 4 to kill griffey

Thanks and I got it on the next try. Now a paladin and HH (The Banhammer) is so epic, just had to hug and use reindeer milk. Manon was actually ALOT easier than Griffey. The dmg they do to me by touch/hug is like 800-1.3k which is in my opinion is quite a bit. Also any build suggestions? For bossing if not I'll lock.
Yea I know it must be hard for you, i had the same feeling. Either you wait until lvl 130 or so and do the job advance or you let a friend who has a pro character like 180+(one who you trust) log on your account and do it for you
If I can do it in 2-3 tries each as a Priest you can most certainly do it as a White knight >:C

had the same freaking problem, wanna hear the solution? HUG THAT FATTY AND DONT LET HIM GO AWAY FROM THE CORNER
That way he just hits 2k and no 1/1 or stun. Also, ur a pally, he hits crap to ur defense.

Actually, Ginger Ales restore 75% of your HP and MP, Elixirs on the other hand restore only 50%, but they can't be bought from any NPC...
OT: It really isn't hard, just make sure you have PG on, as it prevents 1/1 from actually taking you down to 1/1 and try to lure him to a wall and just stand on him, so he can't really stun debuff and 1/1... Other than that, Ginger Ales are great potions! Good luck
I managed to do it on a sair so don't complain
You're a White Knight, Manon and Griffey should be doing low DMG to you. Just hug it and take physical DMG, that is what I did as a White Knight.

We White Knights have great defense and you're saying you can't kill Manon and Griffey? >.<
Use magic crash to de-buff them, charge up and spam charged blow.
When they use a 1/1, use a power elixir? ( I used guild pots tho)

@Jq25wong: Your HP and DEF should stop their attacks from shocking you. Your Power Guard if active (they dispel) can stop their 1/1s from surprising you. Just pot when you get hit. What could be the matter here?
I did it as a priest.What are you talking about?when it 1/1,just spam the ginger ales,they restore75%
go take body dmg from manon and griffey,and the cents will stun you.i know you can do it!
Just have faith in yourself,and you can do it.
I died at griffey 7 times,before i killed it.
Just study its 1/1 and dispell animations.

My regular atk does 10k max (crit) so this is gonna take awhile and also even when I hug it does 1/1 to me or stun etc...

LOL everything is easy except mages. Priests are the hardest
It took me 20+ tries on both just to beat em
If you do level without getting your advancement nothing major will happen, so as long as you dont spend your SP onto 3rd job skills it should be fine.
Just keep trying until you finally beat them
That sucks so hard....what if I lvl without getting my advancement?
