Im An Anti-Social Freak
My brother and I were chatting with each other over the ice cream cake I chose for my birthday, which were leftovers from my family party on Sunday. My brother decided told me I was "self-opinioned" because I chose a flavor I liked, peppermint dark chocolate, opposed to one like vanilla that everyone could easily eat. He told me that three of my cousins did not like that cake, and they could not finish it. So, I'm too "self-opnioned" to think beyond my own wants and goals. My brother tells me that I have only three close friends, yet he has nearly the entire sixth grade as his close friends. And, I will never have a job because I'm anti-social and will never go anywhere.
How do I improve this situation? I never realized I was such a schizoid until my brother mentioned it, and I want to change before I fail life.
I'm an INTP if that leads to anywhere in life.

Like you need to fit his needs for your birthday cake. I think your brother's being selfish, but I'm sure you know that already.
I don't really know about how sociability affects your career/future.
If my younger brother did that, I would beat the -censored- out of him. Seriously, he has no respect for you. Also, its pretty much fine to have 3 good friends because chances are, you'll have some actual good friends later on and your bro will be that one c o c k y kid no one except the popular kids like. Lol.
@Tainysi:
I thought so too, but when I offered that as my argument my brother replied that my three friends and I socialize more with each other because we can transport ourselves to each other with more ease. He also stated that if I wanted a close cabinet as friends, they must be nearly flawless friends to get the full potential of friendship and my friends are all oddities. To some extent, I agree. But, I do not want to lose friends I've known for years for another bunch that are judged as the kindest.
@NonSonoFronz:
Well, I've been told that when a family member criticizes to always listen. They give the best advice because they love and support the other family members most, and will only speak badly if something must be said for good.
@Chewkup:
Younger. He is eleven; I am seventeen.
What's really concerning is that you are letting a 12 year old lead you into a mini-existential crisis.
You may want to think about that before you hit the other stuff he mentioned. (Which in retrospect, means absolutely nothing)
Your brother is ignorant. It was YOUR birthday, you enjoy the cake bro, twas your day, not theirs.
As for the friend thing , quality>quantity
I'm sure those 3 best friends of yours would top any friends that he has.
@Fehnle:
Yes, I am young. I turned seventeen yesterday, the fourteenth of January.
@achyif:
True, true.
It's alright; I'm sure an answer to making me more extroverted exists somewhere.
@spring786:
If he is insecure, he is a good actor. He is more confident around people and can easily create conversations with them.
Slap him
@spring786:
It's not just what he likes; it's also affecting the personal tastes of others who attended my birthday party
@Weregarurumon:
Yes, he is my brother and I must listen to him.
@LazyLazyLazy:
In my opinion, it is the best flavor at the ice cream shop.
@Chema:
At the ice cream shop during winter, it has the peppermint dark chocolate flavor which I adore. If you were questioning the flavor, no it is not a lie.
Peppermint dark chocolate is also a bit bitter because of the dark chocolate, which some people hate. It's also minty, and some people find that to taste gross. If you were questioning about people disliking my choice of flavor, it is entirely possible.
Dude it's your birthday cake you can choose whatever you want
and if no one else likes it, good. You can have it allllll to yourself
As to your social problems, idk.
You must still be young
don't worry
The cake is a lie
peppermint dark chocolate sounds great
Dont.
