What does it take to get FPd?

Before the flames possibly start, I'd like to point out I have no issue with what's being fp'd at all. I love what gets fp'd and the artists deserve it. However.... If a drawing doesn't get front paged it's hardly ever recognized. And through my observations, it's often been the artists that everyone knows of most that gets front paged all the time... I get a feel that it's not the "latest screens" since these artists show up on FP usually everyday. I just want to know. Maybe my art skills stink who knows? Maybe it's good to get comments so I can improve my art... but even so, how could I be known to basil and become one of those known artists? Maybe even from the artists themselves, advice? I just would like comments on my pictures, but if it's not fp'd it's not recognized. Maybe 10 likes, 2 comments. Other than that it's nothing more. This goes for everyone who doesn't get front page on basil. I see it on recent screens below the actual front paged picture. But no one really pays attention to that..... So how? Thanks.....

I mean this in all kindness. I just don't want to get wrongly accused saying that I want the spot light and to kick others out of theirs. That's not true. People can stay there, cause I love what they do and they deserve the spotlight. I just simply want my art to be recognized someway....
