I don't mind it, their life and body, so they can do whatever they want with it.
Some are pretty bad, some are really nice, depends.
I wanted a certain tattoo since I was younger (Still to young to even get tattoos) but I convinced myself otherwise.

I have to say they are interesting to look at until they look saggy due to aging.

i think the only time a tattoo is gross is when.. well when its literally a gross tattoo. for example if it was of like.. idk, some ugly guy barfing LOL. o-o or if the tat wasnt taken care of/cleaned properly and it makes a rash for too long. thats when its gross (to me) And its not hard to see how you could be attracted to a girl covered in tattoos, i can see how something so different like that could give you that feeling of attraction. I respect people who went through all that pain for their tattoos but at the same time idk cause whats the point? i guess the point is that they want to achieve a look like that or it makes them feel good/expressive on a higher more extreme level. which can be attractive? x) Lol idk. Im glad my bf doesnt have any but if he did and it meant something to him i think i would find that smexy.
@dimo: well of course its to each their own. Like I said its not my thing so it doesnt matter to me if someone else gets them What kind of designs were you looking for that could describe your tribe?
Haha, that was obviously a sarcastic comment, I for one hate tribal tattoos. Honestly I don't know exactly what I want, and I am not one to get something which isn't perfect. However I just started dating an artist, she said she'll help me with some ideas.

You'll be surprised, brah, it used to seem to me like a messy and cluttered body, too, but all it took was one girl to completely change my perspective. Also, I'd imagine the "tribe" reference was a shot at tribal design tattoos that have no meaning whatsoever and are merely for trashy aesthetics.
@dimo: to me thats kind of a turn off just because I am more of "body is my temple" kind of person and just see stuff like that as keeping a messy house
To each their own my friend, but I was actually pleasantly surprised as to how attracted I was to her.
Its not my thing so I will never get one but it does gross me out when people have tattoos all over their face and everything.
Not a big fan of tattoos on the face either, but I dated a girl who has 30+ tattoos on her body and it was rather hot.

i dont mind them but i never have wanted any unless it was truly important =o but i cant think of a reason to really. I think some people are dumb when they get a tattoo without thinking it over especially like getting a tattoo of your bf/gf's name on half your body when youve only been together for a month o-o but iunno i dont have anything against it and i think some look very cool and i have respect for tattoo artists as well. but i still dont think id ever get one. just think.. when you get older.. its gonna sag xD!
get a sleeve full of graves, reapers, and skulls
But that does not adequately represent the tribe that I am from.
Yeah, especially with a world-renown artist who has a long client list, oh man.
What kind of design do you have in mind for the sleeve?
I've had two thus far, one was more "sciency" based, almost told the story of the universes creation through the big bang. 2nd was based around my granddad who was perhaps the most influential figure in my life. He survived WW2, survived 18 months in a concentration camp, and the went on to become the most selfless person I've even known.

I have nothing against them. I am for individuality, and tattoos can contribute to that.

Have been considering a half sleeve for a while. Have had a few designs drawn up but none of them appealed to me, especially not for the price-tag.

They look hideous to me; no exceptions.
I don't care if it's your dead daughter's name, your birthstone, or a small poem that saved your life; I cannot stand any kind of tattoo.

I goddamm hate people who subscribe to the "if it doesn't have meaning it's horrible" thought.

@Odessa haha well I don't necessarily have anything against band logo tattoos if the band in question holds some sort of meaning to the person. But stupid stuff like tribal bands, nautical stars, they're just stupid in my opinion. I'm kind of a tattoo snob though lol.

i generally like tattoos, but it does vary with the artist, what the tattoo is of, and where it is. it may be the most significant thing in the world to whoever has it but that doesn't mean i can't find it ugly or ill-placed.
i would like to get one or two but i can't really form a coherent idea of what i'd get and where i'd get it.

@Odessa I agree with you. I wholeheartedly despise people who get the ever-so-stupid tribal band tattoos & other stupid stuff like that. Tattoos are art if they hold some meaning to you, in my opinion. However nowadays they've become a new trend that thousands of people from my generation are abusing, which gives tattoos in general a bad reputation. It's unfortunate.

I got my first back in high school. Ever since I learned about tattoos, I fell in love with the idea. It's artistry & self expression in their purest forms. There's this misguided idea that those who have tattoos are somehow delinquents or scumbags, but that couldn't be further from the truth. Tattoos are the oldest form of art. I plan on having full arm/leg sleeves, as well as a full chest piece. It just takes time to save up the money lol

It's become a meaningless trend now.
