2h mace or 1h?

Hey guys, so I decided to main my pally for now. 2H maces can be used with the sacred rosario so I think 2h maces are better since you cant use sacred rosario with a shield. So here`s my question, are 2h maces better to use than 1h? And is it possible to achieve max speed with 2h maces? I`m talking about fafnir maces btw.
(swords are out of the question since they are significantly more expensive)

As always, thanks in advance

@KeroseneDesire You need 40 ATT on your shield to outdamage 2H with multipliers involved. It was settled in this thread, in one of @Kazzooey's posts.

Semi-hijacking this thread, but its relevant to the 1h v 2h debate. I forget the specifics, but isn't there a formula to calculate what atk you would need on a 1h to match the damage of a 2h? If anyone knows it, would they be kind enough to post it?

@FreeIcecream Wouldn`t 2h be better than because you cant use a shield as 1h anyway? Rosarios seems better (I cant afford a high stat shield anyway) I`ll be aiming for the speed inner ability, have a hard time finding those honorary medals though

@SkyBreak So far from what I`ve seen, 2h mace > 1h mace > 1h sword > 2h sword in EMS in terms of cheapness

I think it's based on what you plan to do. If you boss more, 1h for sure cause you'll have more time to dodge moves which means fewer deaths. If you don't boss too much, 2h should be fine cause as a paladin you won't take much damage from mobs... Wait take that back, likely you won't take any damage from mobs. Using 2h while training means you'll likely be able to kill more mobs in 1 hit vs 2 hits.

You can also use rosarios with a 1 handed weapon. It just takes up the shield slot.
2handed weapons hit harder, and 1handed weapons attack faster. I don't really thing the difference in dps ends up that big.
You can break the speedcap with green mpe potions so that isn't really an issue if you get to speedcap on 1h weps unless you don't got any characters to farm those at all.
I believe Paladin only gets -2 speed from booster so you'd need another 2 aditional points to get to the cap with a 2h weapon. mpe pots and Dsi/inner attack speed can get you there.
