Red Leaf High

So each key is 400nx and you get a free one..>

I'm just wondering... Is this really good exp? I heard you get 20% per run. A run is really 5-7minutes?

Can someone quickly explain to me where the exp comes from (monsters or competion) and what do you have to do. I'm intrested in trying this from lvl 192-200...

I don't know if this has been said but... the rooms you enter everytime throughout each run are random, and corespondingly, the amount of quests you finish fluctuate, so ofc the % you get will vary...

i went from 179 - 200 in the red leaf and i can say in the 190's the exp dropped to around 11 - 13%. I never got 20% from red leaf high even with quests.

In the last week, I took my NL from lvl 187 to lvl 199 (92%) in Red Leaf. The EXP is absolutely awesome but it wasn't 20% each run and you cannot complete all 12 stages in 3-5 minutes. Anyone who tells you otherwise does not have a lot of experience with Red Leaf.

Each day there are a number of repeatable Red Leaf quests. If you are able to complete all of these quests during your first complete run you will receive approximately 20%. Without these quests you will receive 10-12% per run.

As for time, there are two stages that require you to wait 1 minute or 2 minutes before moving to the next stage. My NL with 60K range self-buffed required 7-8 minutes to complete all 12 stages.

If you are 180+ and you have the NX, you are missing a great opportunity to level quickly if you don't take advantage of Red Leaf. At a minimum, you should do the free run each day.

In addition to the EXP, you have the Red Leaf Totems. I purchased the top 3 LUK totem for my NL for 1 bil. A little pricey, but they will add a very nice increase in your range.
192-200 using keys WITHOUT QUESTS will cost you about 28k nx
Tbh, that's cheaper than buying leech for those levels.

You get around 11-12% at 195, I can tell you that.

U get 14% per run and around 20% with the daily quests. So basically the extra runs with keys won't give you much if you have no quests to complete.

you can get 10-30% per run, depending on level.

i went from 195-197, about 13-15% per run.
You will not gain 20% a run at lvl 192.

I´ve been doing this for awhile and the exp gradually goes down, I´m getting around 13% per key at lvl 180.
This. But it barely slows down because my 199 friend was getting 11% per run. The people that say they get 20% per run are also counting the quests which are only once a day. If they only do the free one each day, then yeah it's gonna be 20% per run for them.

The "20% per run" exp is most likely also counting turning in the daily random repeatable quests, which as the name suggests, are only repeatable once per day. This means when buying and using a key with little to no of the quests available, your exp gain will be a fair bit lower.

It's still good exp overall, but not as much as people jumping the gun would have you think.

yes but for 4k points you actually need to buy a few i think around 8
because if you use the free key you need a few hundred points
the totems add a decent amount to your range and the event is limited

First run of the day is 20% for me then second run it drops to 15 by the time it comes to the third run it dropped to 13% and stayed like that. It's good if you can afford to pay for the keys I guess

its worth it if you dont mind spending ~$4 per lvl. Its a bit much to me. Without any exp multipliers, if you buy 11 keys, you can run through the all in about an hr. That yields well over 1 lvl in the 180's, probably exactly 1 lvl in the 190's. Maybe a tad less the closer you get to 200. Essentially, if you have high lvl chars that have just been sitting around for a while, and you dont mind paying money, use red leaf high until it leaves in september and finish off those high lvl characters.

How much funding do you need to get through it? I was watching some pro DB hit all max damage and it took him about 4~5 minutes and the time limit is 10... I can't do half his damage

@Befuddles: You probably won't see much critical thinking on Basil...half the threads about events and updates are unnecessary and anyone with half a brain would find all the answers if they just went to maplestory.nexon.net

@Branz what she's trying to say is that a thread didn't really need to be created for something like this. We get one free key each day so the TS can just try it for himself. He wasted more time asking about it when he could have possibly found the answer himself after trying it.

"Wasting a topic".

A topic can't really be wasted, Because it doesn't use anything upon creation. The only thing that can be considered wasted is your own time, Which is your own fault for clicking on a topic with a leading title.

Also, People like me who want to know this will be capable of referring to this thread in the future.

I highly doubt someone like you would ever be considered "too smart for basil".

Okay, so there's 12 rounds. Every time you advance to the next room, you get exp. The further you are the more exp you'll get from each room. There are daily quests that gives a lot of exp also. The quests are separate from the one that you're getting in each round. You get one free key per day. If you want to enter again it's 400nx.

There are 12 stages in Red Leaf High, in each stage, u either need to kill all mobs, stay alive for 1(or 2) minutes, kill the boss, select the right answer, or answer the math question. Every time when you completes a stage, an NPC will appear, you talk to him/her, then u put your friendship points into the stats you wanted, DEX/INT/STR/LUK(From a Left --> Right order). Then you go to the next map using the portal. Every time you leave the stage(after you completed it and put your friendship points in), you gain exp. The amount of exp will increase per stage. You get around 15%~20% exp after you completed the whole 12 stages(It does not matter what lvl you are). Also, at stage 6, you will fight a mini-boss, and it'll drop a random Rare-Potential-Maple-Weapon(Any kind of maple weapon, 35/45/50/64/77/80). And at stage 12, you will fight another mini-boss, and it'll drop a random Epic-Potential-Maple-Weapon(Of all kind).
