Well, try eating/drinking protein shakes or bars before AND after your workout? While on days that you rest/recover, eat one protein bar in the morning?
your not the only one there buddy :. You must have a high metabolism.
but volume is kg^3 so then if you do kg = F/a you get F^3/a^3 and if you plug N for F you get N^3/a^3 and if you plug N/kg you get kg^3 which is volume
oh wait
oh i see i added an extra 1 to my calculations
my bad
EDIT@above: no rustysoul, you see acceleration is m/s^2. velocity is m/s. that's what i've been trying to say all along it's just that i added an extra unneeded 1 to my calculations which led to me to something else
or you can just use common sense and realize that density is not the rate of movement, lol.
no acceleration is force/mass or N/kg
i'm pretty sure that density is meters per second squared..
m/s/s is interchangeable with N/kg, since a newton is one kilogram metre per second squared.
Density is mass/volume.
i thought density was meters per second squared o-o
?
Thats acceleration.
NO NO NO NO.
People who tell you to eat junk food to gain weight is stupid and idiotic. If you want to gain weight, get a good diet (as in variety and quality) and just increase the portions.
@dimo: wow i just saw whey shake on walmart ill buy some!
density=size?
do weight bars work?
Density is mass per unit volume. In a sense yes but your stomach is slow in digesting them, so they are not as effective as say a whey shake.
density=size?
do weight bars work?
its size wise. not weight wise. im eatting a banana right now. just got done working out.
It's density. And a banana is great to replenish carbs, but you also need a protein source post workout.
Really, so 1lb of muscle would weigh more than 1lb of fat? I think you may have found an object which does not follow fundamental laws of physics.

fun fact: muscle weighs more than fat
Really, so 1lb of muscle would weigh more than 1lb of fat? I think you may have found an object which does not follow fundamental laws of physics.
Eat steak and a salad at the same time.
If you are under weight and you have a 6 pack, work on getting six pack with muscle not a six pac because you are so skinny, no fat or muscle is around it.everyone has a six pac just its covered with some fat .
yes i know this. im not skinny i just want to get bulkier.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I1Lkyb6SU5U this
lol i weight my self every month i loose around 2 pounds...
never heard of that. i asked some friends playin college football what they take that's accepted by the ncaa. most of them used jack3d and said it was really good. bought it 2 weeks ago and it has really helped me improve. went from a 235 power clean to 255 in just 2 sessions. multivitamins, jack3d and 100% whey gold standard are the only things i take.
I found that I crash using jack3d, especially if I am at the gym for an hour+.
Ops, sorry. Maybe I worded it wrong. I was saying that I believe that before he gets to supplementation, he should balance his diet focusing on bulking. He wouldn't see the results if he had a hypocaloric diet and took supplements.
@Bball4Life
Yea, should've thought of these too. I just assumed that he'd want to already start getting some results off the routine, and since whey is usually taken after training...
Ah, completely agree mate. Supplements should really be a last resort. I for one don't take any protein supplements, I only take pre-work out mixes to help me concentrate, such as NO-SHOTGUN.
But I believe that even the basic workout plan would already "consume" the protein intake from the supplements, wouldn't it? I mean.... Even if he's starting out, he'd spend some nice energy.
Not quite sure what you're getting at mate, maybe I missed a few posts before. Are you saying he should be eating more, on top of taking supplements?
My guess is the OP does not do squats, deadlifts, cleans etc. Would put money that the lack of those exercises contribute more to his scrawniness than his meal plan.
@DeMoNiAk: Ive been going to the gym forever doing any exercise I could think of, look up or see anyone doing(i even made it a mission to be strong enough to bench my weight and squat at least 2.5x my weight). When I started doing actual pushups, I was able to control my pectoral muscles. That's how I remember it.
Lots and lots of protein (shakes,cakes, w.e)
@DeMoNiAk: I'm going on personal experience here. I recently saw some people I havent seen in like 2 years. They are like "OMGBBQ YOU GOT SO BIG!"
Also, I call bs with that pic. It might be true but I still call bs
could you specify what you have been eating for the past week
or atleast when you were determined that you wanted to gain weight
Do we really need to discuss who has the most workout knowledge here?
Dam boy, thats some muscles right there
@DeMoNiAk: I have been able to control my pecs since last year when i did a "100 pushups before bed" thing
Considering you're already on a high-caloric diet, you could start taking Whey protein.
whats Whey? and i want go gain healthy weight not fat.
Pecs=Do pushups.
Same here.
My doctor has me drink a protein shake called "Ensure Plus" to gain weight. I don't recommend it, because it tastes horrible, but it provides good nutrients, nonetheless. In addition, the majority of people who drink Ensure are rather old o.o It's meant for older people to be more nutritious.
I eat enough as is (seriously, I probably eat more than two of my friends combined), I just have an extremely fast metabolism and I'm always running around somewhere or another. So I'm very underweight >.>
If you don't like Ensure Plus, I would try Boost. I haven't had it, but I've heard it also does the trick.
uhh.
eat alot.
uhhh.
eat some more
uhhh...
eat more and more.
and sit
same here, im so skinny and its so hard to gain weight
