how different is the online you vs offline irl you

Personality wise comparison.
What are you like on the internet versus
In real life?

I am outspoken, reckless, say whatever online.
Offline I'm really quiet, reserved and shy away from large crowds or social situations.

-I talk about my girl issues exclusively on Basil. Seriously, nobody in real life has heard/read what you guys may have read about my life issues.
-If Basil didn't have such censorship rules, I would say very extreme stuff. As it is, I say more extreme stuff in real life around my good friends.

-Perverted, dark, sick and twisted humor runs amok in my mind, and luckily my friends find it messed up but also funny.
-I have a different persona for almost every class at school, almost every person I know. When I think about this, my personas usually change by how over-the-top I am, and by what type of humor I use.

-What I say almost always evolves around humor or logic, despite what you Basilers might think. In real life I am honestly more logical and humorous, while being less thorough.

-Online, what I say often comes across as mean or rude. That's because sarcasm can't be read that easily...although in real life, my sarcasm is so dry that people have to ask me if I'm joking (since I never say "just kidding&quot.

I try to be nice both on and offline, but I'm more honest about myself online.

Hmm I guess it depends on who I'm with both ways.

But in general I guess online I'm more open about myself since I don't really care what people online think of me since I'll probably never meet them irl.
And I find it easier to talk to people. I can have skype calls that last for hours, but my real life friends I can probably call like 5 minutes before it gets awkward.
But then again talking to them in person for a long time is no problem, idk.

On Basil, I just say sexist and racist things because it's funny when I'm taken seriously.

When I talk to online friends, I act pretty much how I do in real life: chill, insightful, funny. Maybe it's a little awkward for like five seconds but once that first conversation gets going, it's good.

Not different at all. I guess you can say I'm more reserved irl. But in general when I say something online or offline they are usually said/written the same way for both scenarios. There's not much difference except that I can't judge anyone (who to avoid, who to not avoid, etc) on forums and online, while irl I can judge all I want based on appearance, tone, etc and I can choose whether or not to be reserved towards that person or not. O-O

currently my offline persona is different from usual. I am normally pretty confident / outgoing / competitive but for now until about a month I'm pretty calm.

online: I don't really have an online persona as I don't use the internet enough to care

Online I'm a bit more laid back, and I try to act a bit more mature then usual to look good for everyone. I like to participate as a team for a lot of things, not just in maple. Solo is usually boring. I still try to talk to everyone and be social.

Offline I'm very loud and "bombastic" and not afraid to make my voice heard. I'll do a lot of stupid, weird things with my friends, and I don't care what others would think of me. I like to be very open and social, and I'm fine with meeting new people. I'm a bit hyper at places/times, too. (parties and such)

I try to be my usual "down to earth" personality but sometimes the internet takes that away.

Online: I'm quiet, focus on leveling my character, and limit my "social interaction" in the game to people I know in real life that also play. I'm that one guy in the pq request hall who joins a party, does the pq, and leaves when they're sufficiently leveled, all without saying a single word.

Offline: I'd consider myself an extrovert, and thrive in situations with high levels of social interaction. I always love meeting new people and making new friends.

Online: I express myself better online? I can easily say whatever I want do what I want and interact with others fine online
But when in reality I'm kinda socially awkward when I'm not around people I know too well; I guess I can kinda be shy and hard to talk to until we both get to know each other better and stuff. idk when I speak to teachers or instructors or superiors I kinda turn into a yes man LOL "mhmm, yes, ok yep, yup aha, oohk, alright thanks" I find it really hard not to repeat myself
I guess it's easier to live under an avatar than yourself as a person

On Basil I'm a troll
In Maple I'm pretty quiet and distant
In reality I'm a lot more chameleon (I adapt to different situations and different types of people easily) and am definitely more bubbly/ sociable/ happy go lucky.

Online: I'm a very kind person to everyone really.
I like to help everyone and I'm a real team player in mmorpgs for example.

Offline: I'm very confident and I have a huge ego.
I want to do everything myself and I think that I'm cooler and better than everyone.
I want to reach the top and screw everbody.

Besides that, I'm kind and I like to party and visit concerts and festivals.
I just don't like everybody in real life (people who listen to dubstep and people who bully people for example).
