Would this look good to a formal event?

Well, I have semi formal this friday, which is basically like prom for Grades 9 and 10s at my school, and this is what I'm wearing:

Black dress paints, black dress shirts, white tie

The problem is though, my dress shirt is a little baggy.D: Guess I got skinner since the last time I wore it, and I didn't realize until it was too late. Anyway, I found a solution, but I don't know if it is considered formal.. Basically, I'm going to wear a white armani belt like this:

The only difference with mine is I have a different buckle, but my buckle is the exact same color as the buckle in the example I just showed.I don't know why, but whenever I wear that belt, my dress shirt looks a lot less baggy.

Should I wear it, or is that too unformal? Is there anything else I can do to make my dress shirt unbaggy?
its a belt, noone will really be looking there anyways. Would you also not be wearing a suit? it should be barely seeable
Semi-formal in high school and college means shirt, tie, pants and shoes. Jackets are generally a part of formal.

It's not that formal. Everyone only wears dress shirts that are tucked in, so it's definitely going to be visible.
well it looks a lot better than a black belt would, and is still formal
Yeah, and it takes away from the bagginess of my shirt, so win-win.
