They eat berries don't they? And they lay eggs?
They do and in earlier manga's they even show Pokemon dying from battles pretty sad how 4kids screwed it all up

It's obvious that Lugia just goes and picks berries in between his naps, he doesn't eat the fish located all around him.

I watched that episode. In that episode they were lost in the middle of the ocean with team rocket and James had a magikarp and all of them were so hungry they tried to eat it but them magikarp turned into a gyradoes and blew all of them away,
Also slow poke tails are a delicacy.
Chansey is capable of laying eggs. And so can many bird-like pokemon.
Cherubi is edible as it is a berry.
Even if they all are pokemon, it wouldn't be cannibalism all the pokemon are of different species and genus' so it wouldn't technically be cannibalism, and it is also stated in many pokedex entries that some pray and kill humans, EX. Jellyicent (or however you spell it's name)'s pokedex entry says the sailors that enter its habitat are all lost and disappear so..... And also, in one of the episodes Oak exclaims that Ash's crabby is far to small to eat. And another time when the entire cast was stranded on a raft with a magicarp and out of food, meowth and team rocket try to eat it , but it gets pissed and evolves into garados. So it seems very commonplace for pokemon and humans to eat pokemon.
It seems they do. Really akward.
