I have been hacked thread

Lets use this as a way to reduce spam, since theres always about 3-4 (i've been hacked) threads out there. -mods can you make this official? If you can, thanks a bunch!-

Hello, let this thread be a way for everyone to post their stories on being hacked. Some can be short and some can be very detailed. Lets bring up some following topics about the hacks.

1. MTS hacked ign lists
This stood up ever since the first person posted this up. Because of this, the general section was flooded with "hackers got my username" or "watch im going to get hacked because of nexon's insecurity"

Both threads have a lot of useful information about the hacked ign lists. Especially[url=http://privatepaste.com/download/642b325b97]this one thanks to Pavcha.[/url]
That link will direct you to the ign's of characters, but NOT their usernames. So if some of you are wondering if your name is on it, go there, and hit Ctrl+F and type away.

Now... aside from the username, what about password and pin? To of my knowledge, the only way they can obtain such things is through:
1. going into websites not confirmed by Nexon/MapleStory
2. making an incredible hack that can bypass both.
3. having a weak password and pin

Number 1 and number 3 are the most liable answers, since not many people often change their passwords every three months. Many of you might bring up: "What about Ecko? He hacked a GM!"

Well, according to Scanians, the GM posted his information up "accidentally". He took it down realizing he made a mistake. Most people didn't see it, but Ecko did, and he took advantage of that and got in. Please don't use Ecko as a reason there's such things as password/pin bypass.
