x/10....how is it ?

and can you judge based off of a regular artist and not the "basil" artist which r usually these beautiful master pieces ._. ty

Sort of based off of Coco from fairytail.

EDIT: Gosh, um...this pic i took makes the actual pic look like a god lmao. but yeah, im definitley going to consider this drawing a rough draft of the final one

I've uploaded like 7 drawings a while ago and I myself though they were pretty good and I did not receive a single comment on any of them, how can I get critiqued?
1)In your deviation you need to ask for advice
2)Submit it to as many groups as possible
3) Wait for advice.

i actually met some pretty nice people when i first started out on DA. Trust me they exist. just hard to find. Submitting to many group is your best bet.
btw, being premium or not doesn't change anything, it only allows people to submit real critiques about your work. You still have the choice whether to publish the critiques for the public to see. They can still critique on the comment section if they feel so. o.o

@MarxMaster below :
Ikr, i've seen artists with a big fat bunch of followers (but in this case is different, it happened on facebook) and they kept praising her w/o pointing out anything... it's been years since i last saw her improve..

- hair should have different strands not just a blob
- neck should be much thinner
- the arm has joints NOT CURVES
- theres should be muscle in the legs, look at ur legs; its is a straight line?
-shirt/dress looks like somethings underneath it, wear a shirt, does it flow like that?
- boobs looks off, they look squished and unreal and WAY too big for her body here's a DA Link: http://sanpasazzaro.deviantart.com/gallery/#/d52q993
- the feet should be flat on ze ground, unless shes on her pointty toes

More Tips:
-use DA, and look for tutorials
-go outside and sketch ppl u see for reference
-look at ur own body, and draw whut u notice
-practice, practice, practice, its never too young, or too old to start drawing (im 15 orz)

@Razorslash: WOW. Thanks for the advice. I didn't think of DeviantArt -_-....but yeah, the pose, I WAS going to do something else at first, but I decided to go with the hands behind her back. I really stink at drawing hands...but again thank you . Ive been drawing awhile, and im not that good, and I know that. lol.

@bonjwa: ok, um, what do you mean by "feets likes theres no bone" do you mean feel?

ok im not good at proportion. y dont u tell me WHERE its wrong and not be like "omgeee u sukkk liek u neeeddd to fix ur proportions" i already understand that the head is wrong, but where else?
Ok. First i shall start off ; try deviantart instead of basil for Art critiques next time. it's like 80% of the basillers usually come down harsh on you if drew something atrocious.

That's not the case here. i'd rate it 7/10 if it's your first 3 months on drawing. if not it's a 5 and below.
I see many eraser correction on the paper. it could actually tell me alot from your drawing. Are you afraid to trying to draw what's previously pictured in your mind? are you afraid of drawing hands so you'd conveniently hide them behind the girl to show a "shy" side of her? Well for all that, it doesn't really matter.

You need to make up your mind. whether you are want to keep drawing , if you want to keep it as a hobby or wanting to make a career out of it. Any decision made would surely make an impact on how fast or good you improve. I mean, if you draw once in a blue moon for pure leisure; then i'm sure it'll never reach the level that of a professional or one who keeps it as a hobby.

The legend that people are born with talents is BS i'd say. if you'd ask any professional artist out there for help, i'm sure 99% of them would answer with "practice.practice.practice." cause it's really impossible to advance in art if you don't possess the essence of patience and the raging urge to learn and improve.

I have this file that contains a big range of anatomy notes that i use to train and study from
(it ranges from pencils to digital, anatomy to expressions, male and female alike) Think about what i've said through and you can pm me if you want the notes, i can send it as a zipped file.

I'm pretty sure this whole walloftext is better than what bonjwa said hmm .

Good luck!

I think there a lot of 'regular' artists out there that are capable of creating masterpieces. But anyway:

The problem about starting off is that you tend to draw the image from your head, where your perception is often influenced and altered by other drawings you've seen. Before you draw, I really suggest that you look at yourself in the mirror or other people around you. Notice the proportions of their bodies and the flow of their poses. Try to criticize your drawing accordingly.

I think it's fine to look at other drawings, though, just pay attention to how they can be disproportional or incorrect in some ways.

What would you consider a "regular artist?" I'm pretty sure that term is very relative, as the "regular artists" I would think of are even way above my skill level.
