Anime has gone too far
Listen, people, this thread was not made only to bash on anime. My main topic here is not "i hate anime OMG you guys are stupid for liking it." No, I'm stating that I can't visit the basilmarket forums once without hearing about how anime is the magic of your lives. It's so annoying that it's gotten me to the point of making a thread to tell everyone to please stop making every last thread to praise it. That means it has gone too far. Anime itself is fine, I have no problem with it. The way basilers talk about it so much is not.
Everyday I come to the basilmarket forums to discuss new topics about things going on around the world, I can never do that because anime is apparently the only thing that exists in the world. It should be about the latest news, like the Superbowl, for instance. Or maybe how mass shootings are happening more and more often in the U.S. Instead, I see "What anime are you watching right now?" or "Your top 5 anime shows?" or "Anime is so awesome". And things like "I can't get this anime song out of my head please help" or "OMG anime is so cool what are your favorite anime shows?" I really don't care what anime you're watching right now anymore, I don't care what your favorite anime is, I don't care how obsessed with anime you are. You don't have to make anime your clear topic so many times. Please [b]just stop talking about it![/b] I can never manage to stop hearing about it on basilmarket. It's gotten really ridiculous.
Pokemon, I can admit without a doubt, is one of the biggest parts of my life. Everyday anime lovers who feel that they need to remind everyone about how they love anime so much make it less fun and entertaining. These days I can't play Pokemon SoulSilver without the thought of this site in my head. My head sometimes literally starts hurting after the moment I see those daily anime threads that come up every time I decide to get on BM. Please. I can't believe it's really come to this point. Even as I write this thread, I'm trying really hard to contain my anger here. It really gets frustrating to hear something over and over and over again.
I'm done now. No offense to all anime lovers or if you're offended by this, I'm only saying I just can't take it. If you're going to start flaming me for this, I couldn't care less. So it won't really affect me. I'm not really telling anyone what to do, so if you think that, just know I'm not...

Oh I don't know, maybe because there's a CHAT section that we're in now, that clearly states talk about topics NOT related to MS, and I see threads in this section talking about real life stuff. Did you even think about that as you posted your comment?

If you weren't trying to bash on anime, you would have named it "y'all talk about anime way too much" or something. If you actually thought like the kind of person who would engage in real life issues in Basil, you're clearly in the wrong place. The chat section has these kinds of topics, yes, but it's not something you should expect. This site is first and foremost a MMO forum with a nifty auction system.
well, I mean, maplestory is anime-esque. And most maplers are asian. So it's no surprise that you see so many anime lovers here.

If you hate them then just go to another thread. Cause anime isn't the only thread out there. If you wish to talk about something else, the. Make a new thread. Don't waste your time with it. A lot of basilers like anime a lot, so that's what people tend to talk most about, and like I stated before, if you don't like it make a new thread.

And all other people who are saying they haven't seen anime threads today except for this, here are 3 things:
1. Wasn't referring to today, I was referring to BM lately/these days.
2. I didn't mean that it was always supposed to come up, but I meant that it's been talked about so much more than other things.
3. I was exaggerating (maybe I did over exaggerate) OBVIOUSLY, and you know that. So there.

your alternatives are pretty crap. i don't care much about sports and i'm Beyonce'd out, so the Superbowl is a no (and i'm sure there were threads about it anyway). i really don't need depressing news on a bs forum i come to waste time on (i get my news elsewhere when i want to feel bad/mad), so talking about shootings and such (which also happens here) doesn't seem appealing either.
anime threads aren't any more frequent than the other topics in the Basil Cycle, and they're no more annoying than the jargon-filled LoL threads or beta as hell girl problem threads. the only problem with Basil in relation to anime is that they have subpar taste, objectively.
