How is Maple Changing you?

Most will become jaded with the limitations of the game and that's why nexon is striving so hard to keep it fresh and enticing for its community. I do agree with the points made in the quote because I've been playing this game since the launch of GMS and up til today I've had an off and on involvement in MS. But nowadays its too overwhelming due to most of my original friends quitting and the state of the market and how competition for power has molded the game to be something like "keeping up with the Joneses"
I was on the web recently and came across an article that gave an interview with the CEO of nexon and he himself says that they market and structure this and many of their other games to keep users for generations of play time. meaning they want their players to pass down their addiction to others and hey its been working like a charm so far. They make mad profits off of this mentality; which has lead nexon to be a gigantic earner in the MMORPG world, they recently have been in talks of BUYing over EA games and they are an internationally established company. This is where your allowance and pay checks are going. It's feeding other families and paying other peoples' bills.
If you have no problem with that then so be it but if you weren't aware of this before now, I wonder how it makes you feel.

There's a great movie that came out last year called, "Branded" and its a overview of the introduction of Marketing and how it's effected the world we live in. Did you know that it started in Russia under the their leader at the time (early 1900s) Vladmir Lenin. Which resulted in the Russian propaganda movement that would later effect the entire world and create what we know today as Advertising. What we don't consciously realize is that through clever marketing/advertising and design we are lead to believe and think in certain ways; it's an effect that reaches our inner most consciousness, slowly hypnotizing us and molding us to the Global consumerist needs of the markets. It's an orchestrated machine that guides the masses to perceive what they want us to see, what we should think beauty is, what 'cool' is, what health is, and most of all your purpose in Life is.

If you didn't know that, I wonder how you feel about it now?

Whose to say I'm not molding you're image of what is right and wrong with these words. the difference is im the man hiding behind the curtain whose giving you the backstage pass.
