What's the most you would be willing to spend on a date?

This mostly applies to guys but I guess girls are welcome too. What's the most you would spend on your date? Would you be willing to spend more if they asked?

I personally wouldn't spend more then 100 dollars unless I knew we had a stable relationship.

I second this.
For a guy that I just started dating, maybe $10
But if we've been dating for a year or more, $100+

Well, IF I were to go on a date, the person I'm going with would spend no more than nothing. I would spend nothing, as well.
And that is all because I will never go on a date.

Good future, right?

If it's a special occasion, probs around $150, but lets be honest, it's not always a special occasion. On a normal date, though, I'd go with $40, maybe $80 if we go to some fancy restaurant. (Pay for the girl, jerk. You know you want/have to.)
I was a double agent for Geek Squad. I was also the lowest paid in my district lol. Some of them make $60+/hr. As of now, I teach some classes at my University and do office assistance stuff with a lot of stock market playing
Oh that's cool. Stock market is not that worthy unless you know what you're playing with...
What kind of job do you do? That rate is kinda good.

OT: If I actually had a girlfriend (hint hint), I would spend like less than $40. But if we're in college or something, maybe I could go for $100.

Some of us have the money to spend so why not? It's nice to sometimes go a bit overboard for a special occasion. Most I ever spent on an ex's birthday was $400. I grew up in a household that money was ok to spend. Always went to fancy restaurants, vacations and parents were never in debt. At 18, I was working full time making $18.00/hr. I don't pay rent or car insurance so that extra money is disposable. I still afforded top notch care for my horse and lizard collection as well

I was going out with him for 2yrs at that point. He was even more wealthy than I was. When you are getting a few thousand dollars every 2 weeks and you have no bills, $400 is just a drop in the bucket. At this point, I only see my current boyfriend every few months due to going to college in different states. We have a big date night coming up and I fully intend to spend at least 100 or so on a major date night.

Different people, different values. Growing up, a normal family outing to a restaurant was the Elbow Room in Jamesport NY for 4-5 people. Appetizers, drinks and full entrees. If you can afford it, shoot for the moon
Yup different values, but I speak for most ppl here who are still students in schools/colleges I know the typical spending limit for most college students drenched in debt with loans lol, obviously your a special case =) but a typical date in most scenarios doesn't go past the 40-70 mark with me and most of friends. I would expect the same from my dates as well, I wouldn't want to be showered with money but with affections =) and small gestures go a long way, like sharing a desert rather than ordering 2 =).

Really depends on the girl. Anything from a few bucks for a coffee, up to $500+ on a big night out.
Lol at the "few hundred" responses.

Resonable date dinner and a movie = 50$ or less I'm a budget finance guru when it comes to planning out dates

Go to movie locations near restaurants those are the best at least in NYC, 2 movie tickets, dinner at applebess with their 2 person special + slide in a dessert you two can share = 50-60$ at max, a real level headed mature girl would split the bill at least for dinner depends on her age and values as well, most 20+ year old women I date prefer to split the dinner tab=)
Depends on where and what. If it's his birthday and we are planning to spend a nice day in the city with a fancy restaurant, probably spend a few hundred.
