Improving my self-confidence

So I'm in a course in the army, (training a tracking dog for base defense) and my greatest problem right now is a lack of self-confidence, I have 3 weeks to work on it other-wise they'd most likely let me go which is something I greatly fear. In the next two weeks I'm gonna be in a different base of where I'm usually at which is a base where I'm gonna get my rifle, and the discipline there is much higher than what I'm use to, anyway I need some tips to get my confidence boosted so if you have anything to offer I'd indeed be grateful.
well, why do you have such low self-confidence?
is it cuz of childhood problems, don't like the way you look, etc.?
TBH I don't really have such a low self-confidence, just have a problem expressing it, I'm not a person that likes to shout or compete I'm more of a calm and apathetic person.

I read somewhere that US is last in the academics comparing to other countries but first in self-esteem and confidence haha
