Appearance And Personality

Does the appearance of a person effect your first impression on his/her personality.

For an example, my mother and I were watching women's gymnastics. My mother assumed Aliya Mustafina was a mean girl just because of her "evil-looking" eyes without knowing anything about the gymnast's true personality. This is the happening that made me want to create this thread.

Other examples that may be more relatable:
Blondes are dumb.
People with braces/glasses are nerdy.
Japanese people all love anime.

So, do you judge a person's personality based on appearance?

Yeah, but it's not a HUGE judgement.

I make a guess of their personality by their looks, then find out if my guess is right by conversation

I do, what can I say? If you look at someone that looks like he's from a gang would you expect him to like ponies or drag?

I make judgement but it's not really anything huge, just "oh, bushy eyebrows, lawl". Personality is what determines it in the end.

I do not judge a person by appearance. I get to know them through conversation.

I don't really make first impressions until I actually talk to someone.
I'll predict how someone may be by the way they look, but I'm not going to assume right off the bat that's how they really are. Even though I'm right majority of the time.

I try not to let appearances dictate my first impression and judgement on a person, and I try to catch myself doing it. :x
