Again, it's my own sick, twisted version of entertainment. You know, turning idiots' poorly-thought-out mind games against them.
I hope you realize that since I already answered the OP's question, my only purpose in posting in this thread is to try and get a reaction out of you. XP

Yet you post. XD
@Satoshi1234: Any once of thought put into this thread is too much.
You're trying to prove your intelligence on a forum, pathetic.
Go ahead and weep, but its more productive to talk about your issues.
Currently chuckling at your ignorance right now, but for the sake of argument, I'll "accidentally" fall into your flamebait trap. You know, just for my sick, twisted version of entertainment.
-Again, it's not a lot of thought. If you think it is, then you are worthy of a good, wholesome, fortified-with-eight-essential-nutrients facepalm.
-I'm not trying to prove anything; I'm just answering a simple question. The OP could be asking for help on math/science homework, for all I know. But since he most likely isn't, I guess it's safe to assume that I'm just bored and decided to, you know, mindlessly wander into a thread. There's really nothing more to it.
-I like how you assume that I have issues for answering a math question, whereas you're the one who's attacking some random internet anonymity for no discernible reason (other than to get your testosterone going and make yourself feel tougher and more awesome. Yes, I know, that was a low blow. Doesn't make it less true, though.).
And now, without further ado...
*rings bell*
Let the flame war commence!
(chuckles mischeviously)
I actually think that 5 / 2 is also 2,5000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000
0's after the decimal are considered significant figures, but if we're relying on accuracy then the 5/2 is more accurate.
Are you really putting that much thought into this?
That's pathetic.
If you think that requires a lot of thought, then I pity you.

You really call that "putting that much thought into this"?
Now I'm weeping for the future of humanity as well.
Why does the final answer have so many significant figures? Is this a trick question?
Depends on whether we're supposed to be answering this scientifically or mathematically. In a scientific situation, the significant digits DO matter, whereas in math, they don't (since we're always assuming an infinite chain of zeroes after every number).
The list of 0s aren't needed. But yes, it is correct. Isn't this like...3rd-4th grade math or something?
Well, I just did it on my calculator and it said 2.5 so obviously it's not the same answer, I mean look at all those zeroes it's completely different.
But seriously if anyone says something like that^ I'll cry.
I'm not sure but isn't 5/2 more exact than 2.5000000000000000000000000000?
I just got this feeling that 2.5000000000000000000000000000 isn't the perfect match for 5 divided by 2 but not completely wrong either
Why does the final answer have so many significant figures? Is this a trick question?
I weep for our future.
