I"m fine if people in relationships are like 3 years apart (EX: Senior guy dating freshmen girl). I mean crap, I seen better relationships between them than most of the relationships in my high school. What are your thoughts about it basilers?

The gap can increase as you get older
30 and 40? sure, why not?
10 and 20? HELL NO

It's not the age gap that bothers me at times (depending on case though), it's the maturity level (or the one you should have according to your age)

like a 26 dating a 16 year old.. hell no. I guess it's kinda okay for e.g. 36 and 46 (I don't think people change much within that time)
I think the max gap I would personally take is like 5 years

My parents are 8 years apart, it's not really a big deal once they're both 18 lol

edit: This post is only looking at relationships between consenting adults.

I don't know; I kind of like age differences. One person's older, has life experience, and provides his/her partner with that experience, expanding that individual's perspective. The younger partner, on the other hand, contributes their youthful energy and their zest for life that can only come with being young and relatively naive to the ways of the world. That sort of attitude is contagious. That give and take relationship would set the groundwork for a powerful bond that grows over time and sustains the two long after the old one has imparted all of his or her wisdom, and the young one has spent his or her vitality.

I realize this viewpoint is controversial, and was probably used by some sick people to justify some horrible things in Rome, but in my example I'm referring to two people who are both consenting adults. Honestly, my viewpoint probably stems from unresolved issues with my father, so it's fine if you disagree. I'm not discouraging same age relationships; I just think age gaps are kind of cool.

As long as they get along and have fun who the hell cares as long as both are legal adults.

That would obviously apply for a relationship between two people in their 20's and 30's, but a person in their 20's should not be dating someone in their early teens. That's ridiculous. People completely bloom and change throughout highschool. After puberty ends, the general growth rate slows down very significantly and then it would reasonable to date someone with an age gap.
