now i gotta figure out what a 3d accelerator is and why mine is so 'old' O_O[/quote]
A "3D Accelerator" IS the "video card".

However, it appears your computer is using the built-in video display circuits on the motherboard, which shares resources with everything else on the motherboard. (The "IGP" in the "video card" information at the top of your original post means "Integrated Graphics Processor", meaning it's part of the motherboard, not a separate, dedicated video card.)

The next question is: what game is complaining about this? It sounds like something I've heard from people trying to run Minecraft.

If that's it, the next question after that is, did you ever run Minecraft (or whatever the game is that's complaining about the 3D accelerator being "old" ) BEFORE on this computer, or is this something new you're trying since you formatted the computer..?

The most likely cause of this current problem is that the game won't work with the graphics processor you have now. You can fix that situation by buying and installing a new video card with the capabilities needed by the game. This doesn't have to be a hugely expensive thing, depending on what game it is.

Well actually, its not minecraft. ive been playing pokemon colosseum on my little bothers computer for a while until i got tired of sharing it with him. it runs really smooth on his computer, but ive never tried it on this computer before. the game is a 3d game, it was made for the wii and gamecube but i found an emulator that can run it.
im guessing i have to buy a new motherboard..

It would be more economical to replace the whole computer.

However, if it still works and it still suits your needs, then you don't need to replace anything.
