it just baffles me how people can just dislike someone because the a group of people dislike, i feel like they are trying way to hard to fit in.

This. I feel like a lot people started hating him because others hated him. I don't love his music, but I don't hate the kid. He's successful, and Canadian, and I'm happy for him.

What I'm wondering is why there's a large group of people that dislikes the same things I dislike. I know I'm an amazing person but I feel like they're trying way too hard to copy me.

People would rather hate on others than to be picked on themselves. Its all about conformity in society today, like there is always that group of morons that hang out together.
