Maplestory downloading slower than a snail moves
I'm currently on a desktop PC with 206 GB of space (a hella lot more than MS needs),while I'm downloading it I make sure none of my programs are open that take up alot of bandwidth/space on the processor and it's downloading at about 150 KBps, which is about 2% every ten minutes @_@ is there anything i can do to speed the download up? (My internet is cable) (And when I start/resume the download it starts at about 600 KBps, then goes down to 150 after T_T)

What's your actual internet speed provided by your ISP? I'm downloading MS from the link I had provided although it rather inconsistent, I'm downloading it at 1.5~2.5MBps.

Try running a scan on your comp first.
There could be malware or whatever that can slowdown your DL o.o
huh... i was downloading at like... 3000 KBps... took like 10minute to finish the entire download.
@qwan456: Oh, okay thans for telling/explaining the peer-to-peer thing cause I never really understood it , I think downloading directly might be the same pace as the PMB download cause the speed is..... slower than a snail moves...

A snail can be moving at a fast speed when someone throws it really well.
Downloading from the mirror sites is rather faster for me.. But then again it might be different depending on how well your comp can process the data and info, same goes for internet speed (mine is 19 mbps)
Yeah, you computer shouldn't have an affect on your download speed. That has to do with your internet connection. PMB function like a peer-to-peer application like torrents, where you connect to those who has downloaded MS using PMB as well and download it off of their computers. The speed will varied depending how many people you are connected to as well as their upload speed, so even if you have a fast download speed, you may not be able take full advantage of it.

Right click on the Manual Patch download link and copy the link location. Grab only the link and replaced the [b]ManualPatcher[/b]v116.exe to [b]MSSetup[/b]v116.exe.
