Bishop Advancement Quest
Guys guys :o What do I do? I'm trying to kill Manon and Griffey for my 4th job, but I can't do it solo. I mean, I could, but I'd run out of potions ;-;
There's no one around the area either, so I can't get a party to help. What do what do? ;-;
edit: owait, I have to solo it, right? .-.

It took me a few tries before they revamped all the levels for job advancement, actually even if you waited a bit longer and leveled a bit more, it probably wouldn't hurt, it would make it easier too. Once you get dispelled the first thing you should do is use magic guard, everything else you can ignore. Also, make sure you are really good with your keys (as in moving around a lot so you don't get killed) i used tele a lot. Try to stand as far as you can from them. Don't forget to use holy shell and keep pots with you that heal most of your mp (power elixirs, or the mana bulls from nlc) There really isn't any quick way to finish it, just have a lot of patience and mp pots good luck!
Learn it's attacks so you will know what to do. You don't need to be funded, at all to defeat them.
Try using Swiss Cheese :o
I also recommend putting Teleport Mastery on, and to keep teleporting behind it.
Preferably, telecast repeatedly and remember to keep your hp bar filled.
If you don't know what telecasting is, then it's basically launching an attack while you teleport through a monster.
You press your attack key, Shining Ray, and right after you try to teleport to the other side of Manon (might have to practice a bit before you get the hang of it).
I know Manon is quite...voluptuous, but if you can survive body touch damage once, then you should be good.
It's a great way to avoid its attacks, and at the same time deal damage.
Teleporting with Teleport Mastery will also give you an additional 340% damage in additional to the damage Shining ray deals, so it's a great free boost.
Good luck!
I had a priest too and had to solo it. The trick is to get either elixirs, power elixirs or ginger ales. Buff up, get into the map and you stay on the boss. If you stay on the bosses you take damage but it's better than getting debuffed and getting 1/1ed. So just stay on the boss, keep attacking and pot when necessary. Forget about using heal, just use those potions as stated before.
Don't worry about casting your buffs except for MG when it is about to run out. Don't use heal; instead use pots to heal yourself.Might help.
How much do you do? lol I had the same problem when I job adv, if you can, raise your range a bit before you try again
Well, I do like 8,000 x 3 with Shining Ray .-. I had a Dimon Wand earlier, but I might've broken it when I used a scroll on it ;-;
Using 2nd Unwelcome Guest staff. I haven't played in forever, so I don't really know what's the preferred staff of choice for my level.
isn't the hyper advancement event still going on tho?
.-.
4th try:
-burns 40 power elixers-
-looks at Griffey's hp bar-
-80%-
-leaves-
What about when they remove my buffs? ;-; I don't have enough time to buff up again.
Magic guard isn't removable anymore. It will stay on regardless unless the duration is up, you'll be fine.
Like others said just spam pots and you'll be fine o.o.
What about when they remove my buffs? ;-; I don't have enough time to buff up again.
When I did the advancement on my priest several months, maybe even more than a year, ago, I just hugged manon/griffey. I would use holy shield and start attacking like crazy. When it runs out, I would run away and wait until I could use it again
get a swise cheese from cwkpq?
