By the way, this is what I sent to the Georgetown University Admissions Office Email:

Hi there! I have a few questions about the admission process of your university. I am currently an 11th grader attending Bravo Medical Magnet High School, and I'm planning to apply to your university, Georgetown, in my senior year. From what I've seen and researched about the campus and the classes, your college seems like the ideal finish to my educational career. My Grandfather also went there. Which brings me to my question- does being a grandchild of an alumni make me a legacy? Truthfully, I am not confident as to where my high school statistics will place me after I graduate. I am hoping that being a legacy would increase my chances into attending this university.
[/end]

Can anyone answer this question for me as well? Thanks guys.

I think you'd be a legacy, not sure.

I'm a high school senior, haven't gotten all of my acceptances yet, so I'll list the ones I have.

Rochester Institute of Technology, Drexel University.
3.63 GPA unweighted (4.11 weighted).
2300 SAT.
Didn't take ACT.
RIT: Game Design & Development, Drexel: Game Art & Production.

nice SAT score! Holy crap haha. Any tips? I haven't started caring for college at all, until recently. Now I'm very worried because my grades suck, and I can't find the time to study for the SAT.

@BuGak : I have no idea what I did for that SAT, I scored higher on critical reading than math which never happened before. On the test I took half a year before that one, I had 2070, and I didn't really take any notable test prep during that half-year period. Guess it was just a good day for me, or a fluke.

Wow, dude, I have almost the exact same stats as you. Where else did you apply? Is that GPA including first semester senior year?

At a school like that being a legacy probably helps. If Georgetown's common app supplement mentions relatives who attended then yes.
