I feel like I probably shouldn't need ask this, but what is Telecasting? Apparently it's supposed to make you attack faster?

Telecasting in the act of using a skill while teleporting simultaniously.
Most mages can properly tetlecast nearly every skill.
To perform, simple use the skill (attack, in most cases) and while it is being casted, teleport sideways.

You might have been doing this all along without knowing this is what it's called.

Telecast makes it you can teleport while casting and not need to wait to cast again if you didn't use it

The only thing about this is its to hard to keep doing this for every kill i can do it sometimes but its just not worth it cause its to hard

Technically makes you attack faster since you don't have to spend time re-positioning yourself.[/quote]

Let me add to that, telecasting most commonly used in a boss fight as means to dodge obstacles.
Like telecasting away from magnus falling debris, empress genesis, or vellum's tails, as primary example

While at the same time you keep attacking to save time

Slight delay in teleport means you actually attack slower (assuming you're just spamming attacks). Its mainly used for repositioning.

Remember back in those times when bishops using AR while teleing back and forward to prevent a boss from hitting you and you were like "You can't touch this"? Yeah, good times.

Allow me to explain how to correctly use teleport in a fight.

There's a slight delay, as you said, if you are spamming teleport. It goes to say that if you know your proper positioning, you don't need to spam teleport in a fight. Teleport, by definition, is a very defined motion so you can very carefully select your location. That being said, teleport is not used as a defensive measure to run away all the time.

To properly illustrate this, I'll include an example of the use of teleport in an aggressive setting:
The proper usage of teleport in a fight such as chaos queen, when not used to run away or escape, is to stand on top of her body and attack like the following:
First attack, teleport upwards and use your attack.
Second attack, use your attack normally.
Third attack, teleport upwards and use your attack.
Forth attack, use your attack normally.
Fifth attack, teleport upwards and use your attack.
Sixth attack, use your attack normally.
Seventh attack, teleport upwards and use your attack.

Teleporting upwards allows for an extra line of damage to be dealt. When you are a capping fire poison mage hitting 7 lines of 50m on paralyze, that teleport upwards for 1 more line of 50m makes it significant.
With the use of teleport being alternated to use and not use, it avoids any form of delay as the delay only impedes you if you spam teleport, thus making teleport actually attack faster.

Hope this helps. I have yet to see many others really utilize this except for battle mages since they have the idea that teleport = less dps.
