Hi, my name is Matt and i am 17 years old. I have been playing Maplestory for almost 7 years and i made this guide because i want to help others.
Personally, i only made more than a half of this quests and haven't EVER fight Magnus.
This guide is made by gathering information of the internet.

Magnus is one of the Black Mage Commanders. He has made himself the toughest boss in Maplestory.

It is say that Magnus was to be part of Pantheon city, but was exiled for abusing his powers.
He assisted Darmoor and took control of Helisium City to raise an army and attack Grandis.

In Kaiser's storyline it is say that Kaiser tries to stop Magnus sacrificing himself and destroying his army, weakening Magnus, who fleed away.

In the present, Magnus is still in Helisium and resides in the Tyrant's Castle.

Talk to Beldar again and he will tell you to go see Tiron located at

Talk to Tiron again, he will warp you to a zone where you need to kill all the monsters.

Head to Heliseum Reclamation HQ and talk to Edea, she will tell you to talk to Piston.

Talk to Piston again and he will tell you to kill some monster and get their drops.
Head over to Twisted Forest: Savage Dog Forest and get:

You will be moved to a blattle area where you will need to kill all

She will send you to a battle field.
Complete it and talk to Edea again.

[header][b]Fighting Magnus[/b][/header]

If you want to fight magnus you will need:

-1 to 6 players
-must be lvl 100+

Magnus has a single of peculiarities that i will explain here.

[b]Bombardment System[/b]

Along the whole fight, 3 different bombs will start droping from the sky.

Each one is slower than the other (purple>blue>green).
Each blue and purple bombs can KO hit you, while the green one just take half of your HP.

Beware that when Magnus is hurt, the bombs will start dropping faster and in more cuantity, so be safe.

[b]Zone Control System[/b]

Magnus will be surrounded by a blue "aura".
In order to successfully kill Magnus you will need to be inside this blue aura.

Effects of the aura:

-Full potion restore.
-Magnus will take full damage.

Beware that when Magnus is hurt, the aura will decrease in size, so you will have less space to fight him.

[b]Field System[/b]

This is the map effect.

-All pots and items have a 5 sec cooldown.
-You will be revived in the same map.

[b]Death Count System[/b]

Magnus has a total of 20 lives,

the less the lives you have, Magnus will get stronger,
when all your lives are gone, you are out of the battle.

[b]Sleeping Gas System[/b]

Aroung the map they will be this things that throw gas.

Beware that if you get hit by gas you won't be able to move nor attack for 10 seconds and you can't dispel it.

[b]Notable Magnus Moves[/b]

Magnus will rush into you with a slash, this attack almost hit full HP and it is hard to dodge.
It will be hard to take Magnus out of you.

I am not sure if this is the right name for this skill, but i am going to name it Purple Attack,

You know when Magnus is going to use this skill when whe leaps into the air, close his wings and purple this appears around him.

To dodge this attack, just stay right below him, or else you will die instantly, OR just get far away form him, out of the aura zone.
