Some REALLY ANNOYING BUGS WHILE RUNNING MAPLESTORY

Okay so I had this really old computer and we just so happened to be lucky enough to get a used computer from a family member. We went from our old computer, 358 MB Computer yo a 512 MB computer with higher GHz and same amount of GB on the hard disk. Both computers run Windows XP. Now my old computer took forever to load Maplestory but once I was in the game it ran fine for a ten year old computer. It didn't do so well with lots of people but I couldn't complain. Now this new computer brings me into the game within less than a mintue and its only about 8 years old. The problem is the game runs awful. It lags the whole friggin time even when maplestory is the only program running. Walking for instance, I let go of the elft arrow yet my character continues to move way past where I want the avatar too. I'm so confused as to why this is happening. When I check the Windows Task Magaer it shows the computer is running at 70% while my old computer would be running maplestory at 90% yet it had practically no lag. This makes no sense I'm so fricken confused. Please help me. Here is all the information on my new(yet used) computer.

System:
Microsoft Windows XP
Professional
Version 2002
Service Pack 3

Computer:
Intel(R)
Pentium(R) 4 CPU 2.80GHz
2.79GHz, 512 MB of RAM

@DarkTy5: Is it a dedicated video card (can you take it out of your computer by unattaching it?)
If you can, and it is, then go ahead and try. It just may work if your power supply can support the additional strain.

Afterward, go into the BIOS setup when your computer is starting and set it as your primary graphics card. If you dont know how to do this, i suggest you get someone to help you, as you could kill your computer if you do something wrong in there.

Thanks for the help everyone I'm seeing I don't really have any options. Buying a new computer is out of the question. My parents see no need for a enw one they think these oldies run fine(They're not the gamers so they jsut don't understand that old computers SUCK) The only problems they have is slow internet which is very rare. I can't buy a computer cuz I do not have enough cash. Apparently my computer can't support any other graphic cards and my old computer probably can but I'd have to buy more RAM for it which is adding up to be a lot of money. I'm only willing to spend up to $80 to fix my computer problem.

Ram or Graphics card. You need either that, or something new. MY XP is about 5-6 years old and still running well. I have 1 GB ram if you're insterested.
Wow. Ok. To be honest, your graphics card is BEYOND terrible... Even for 8-years-ago standards, its terrible.

I'd say the best you can do is get the program i mentioned, advanced systemcare 3, and let it do what it can for your computer.

That may help a good amount. If it doesn't end up helping much, then you've reached the limit of what you can do. Since your PC is so old, replacing the video card with a dedicated card is not an option, considering it has no PSI-E slots, therefore making your search impossible, and your PSU probably cant support anything else if its designed for an integrated card that bad.

So if the program doesn't help much, though it should help noticeably, if it doesn't solve your maple issue, then there's really nothing you can do whatsoever.
So I can't use my old computers graphic card (Geforce 2) in my current one?
press the windows key and open "run"

type in "dxdiag" and wait for it to load up well (if you get prompted with something, just click yes)
then on the top, click the "display" tag and read the information that appears. Post up here the exact name of the card and DAC type

Stop trying to sound smart. Why does anyone need a 512mb+ dedicated video card? Seriously? Just stop trying.

Maple will run at 100% efficiency with even a 128mb integrated card which is MILES from a 512+ dedicated.

512mb RAM= Able to run maplestory.

Also your video card needs to be 512mb+ As well.

EDIT: For all you ppl that think it's RAM* Fail.

It's actually the video/graphic card problem.
OT: It is probably a clutter issue, as those kinds of problems are never caused by anything other than that, or lack of RAM, but 512 is definitely enough for maple, and you say you ran it fine with less. I'm 80% sure that if you completely reformatted and installed maple it would run perfectly, but of course that's alot to do.
Instead Clean up your HDD a good amount. Delete everything you don't need, perform a disc cleanup, and lastly a defragment. It may help a tiny bit.

Oh and one more thing. I suggest getting a free registry defragmenter. One such program is Advanced Systemcare 3 which is user-friendly and will do all the work for you, as well as extra things that may vastly increase your computer speed. Just restart after you use it.
upgrade ur ram, damn . . .
The recommended requirement for maplestory is 512 MB of RAM. The lowest requirement is 356. My computer meets the highest requirement it is not the RAM.
Lower your system stuff, like lower quality, it's choppy for me as well =/
You mean like 16 and 32-Bit when you're changing your computers screen resolution? Did that its set at 16 instead of 32. I also went into maplestory and lowered the graphics as much as possible. It only helped a little bit. My attacks don't lag anymore but other than that it is still AWFUL!
