I do my boyfriend's "female makeup" for his cosplays. I pretty much just apply any rules that count for a women doing her own makeup. All the makeup in the world can't "hide" masculine features, which boyfriend and I learned. Pick colors that work with your skintone and concentrate on your eyes. My boyfriend is doing a Mamizou for Otakon and this is the route we are going. He has a very "distinctive" face though, hard to hide with makeup.
Pics must be posted.
video's like http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Gn0RwO5bjg0&feature=related and others are quite good for understanding what is necessary to do
Blogs of CD's e.g. http://www.risquevania.com may help
since there are hardly any make-up tutorials (for Males)- aside from the really sped up ones (but even those are 6min+)
you should try tutorials designed for Females (Bubzbeauty, for example), with some special considerations e.g. hide adam's apple
Remember that foundation is you friend
awesome tips bro.

ty ladies, i'll be back later to see my thread.
@MoonYeti: Discount the second link, but the first link I posted is a decent source for make-up tutorials. As for looking feminine you're better off googling make-up guides for females. You should consider getting your eyebrows done at a place where they thread your eyebrows. The results are very nice.
