What did you want to be when you were a kid?
I wanted to be a paleontologist since I loved Dinosaurs.
My dream was crushed when my mom said, "No."
How about you?

Princess of Genovia. That dream was shattered when I turned 18 and didn't automatically inherit the title.
a professional skateboarder cuz i got hooked on the first tony hawk's pro skater.
i seriously thought i could do it. so i got a skateboard and fell on my ass soooo hard.
then i said "man, screw this."
I just wanted to end up rich and never have to work a day in my life for it.
Sad realizations, man, sad realizations....
A bunch of different things.
A model, dancer, singer, forgot if there was more.
when i first learned to read i consulted my extensive collection of dinosaur magazines that i hid away in my little jurassic park backpack for safekeeping
i took this stupid inaccurate quiz in one of them that indicated i'd make a good paleontologist and i was psyched as frick about it, even though i had no idea what exactly it entailed, only that it would allow me to work with dinosaurs
never really grew out of it, but now i also want to be a herpetologist/entomologist/astrophysicist. sigh
maybe someday
I always wanted to be an actress when I was a kid (around 8), because everyone told me I "should be an actress". Or a surgeon/pathologist doing autopsies finding out the causes of death.
I wanted to be superman
I wanted to be a Veterinarian because I loved animals, but after taking a few Bio and Chem classes at my College I decided this career was not for me. I decided to switch to a Computer Science Engineer so far it's been fun!
Wow, that's quite the coincidence, OP. It just so happens that I wanted to be a paleontologist since I loved Dinosaurs.
My dream was crushed when my mom said, "No."
How about you?
I first wanted to be an engineer (inspired by my dad)
Then I wanted to be a comic writer/artist (inspired by Bill Watterson)
Now I'm a sophomore in college with a major in mechanical engineering. But I don't want to work on the same parts of card as my dad. He does fuel systems, I'd be more interested in designing visible components (lights, grilles, wheels, user controls inside the car, etc)
Wanted to be an artist, but finally realized I have no artistic talent.
I lol'd.
A cashier because I thought you got to keep all the money in the cash register. >.<
Aww that face goes so well with your avy.
Personally I first wanted to be a doctor when I was in first grade. Then I wanted to be a soldier later on in my life, then I realized how much of a jerk some people are and I didn't think I could risk my life for them. (Sorry to all the non-jerk people). Now as a freshman college student I'm looking to become a doctor or a physician's assistant or even a nurse. I really want to get into the health care field because I believe it's the best way to help others. My main goal is to become a doctor. However if I don't get the grades to become a MD I will try to go DO. If not I'll finish graduate school and become a physician's assistant.
police officer, but now i made that better i wanna be a liar
a chef, because i watched too much iron chef
Pokemon Master.. and artist.
Successful and happy.
A fireman... just cause i remember one of them fireman coming to class and handing out plastic red fire-hats.
A pilot. Still do, actually... just not making much progress towards that at the moment.
@TheFudgeMan i LOLed at this.
so what happens if you ran out of mayo?
When I was like ten I wanted to be a crime fighting ninja. Me and my friend use to "train" in the backyard. Basically we attacked my tree with wooden sticks.
I always wanted to be your mom.
Meteorologist. I loved watching the weather channel when I was a kid.
Dropped it when I started college. Too much complicated math. Chose accounting instead and 12 hours away from getting my bachelors!
Simple math ftw!
Paleontologist during the majority of my time in Elementary School. But now I either just want to be a Historian or Astronomer.
Aside from a cat, I wanted to be a veterinarian or a doctor. Now I still want to be a doctor.
Well I wanted to be a teacher, veterinarian, pharmacist, astronaut, astronomer, dolphin trainer
I wouldn't be satisfied with those careers now because I've heard of the cons.. Teachers are being laid off.. Veterinarians have to take care of other people's pets (I might not be able to own a pet). Pharmacist..lots of chemistry classes Astronauts..their bones become weak..due to no gravity and it's hard for them to walk when they return to earth. Astronomer little demand for that job and it involves a lot of math.. Dolphin trainer..they're unhappy caged up (dolphins) and they're intelligent animals.. I don't want to support caging up dolphins and using them for human entertainment.
i wanted to be a Thug
I didn't think about stuff like that, I was too busy drawing on the back of my sofa.
astronaut until my mom said i would have to donate blood to be one (haha what)
paleontologist during my dinosaur phase
veterinarian (didn't drop this one until i shadowed a vet in middle school)
I wanted to be a prince.
Hmm... I wanted to be a dinosaur... I'm not kidding. I thought they were so cool... I wanted to be one for a while. but then I changed my mind and I wanted to be a teacher.
A Pokemon Trainer
But then I became a Mewtwo
a koala.
obviously, i have achieved my dream.
