You need to be funded but not nearly as funded as other jobs to hit good damage
An unfunded evan with randomly thrown together equips would still hit pretty high for its equips though

I have an aran and it does great dmg with only about 10% str, i've heard evans are the same. However, u need nx for some skills

I'm playing an evan for fun right now using the homecoming set, artifact equipment and the level 75 event staff you get. It's fun and the damage is decent
