TiMmYDouGj: Who in the hell thinks Bishops train slowly?
Who said that?:3
Its a very informative guide with alot of details. But I'd like to share my personal experiences because I disagree with the builds you have.
In the builds you suggested, soloing/bossing/alternative builds - You suggested users to save 10 points for gen30, upon reaching Lv.20 gen in. Instead of saving these points right away, bishops would benefit more by putting the points into MW to lv.9, an early 5% boost is very useful (it can make a difference between, 100% 2/3hitting. After getting MW9, the player can save points for gen30, mw20. As well, I don't find lv.15/20 gen useful because - Lv.15 genesis, uses the same amount of mp. as Lv.30 genesis which is why players get it. However, players should be able to 2hit skeles with Lv.10gen. Lv.10 genesis would save the much needed mp at skeles inorder for lower leveled bishop to survive the powerful magic hit and it would cost less pots, it would satisfy both the 'saving money build' and 'training build.' Lv.20 genesis, was used to be able to 2hit newtie at an earlier level. Players however, hardly train at newties with the exception of selling leech, since the new the skele dungeons provide a better spawn and exp. Lv.20 genesis will not allow a player to 1hit unless they are extremely funded or well into your 180s. MissRILEY: Its a very informative guide with alot of details. I have to think whether a person, can afford it or not. Saving points should be useful, especially at the rate bishops level. My builds try to simple. For this reason of criticism, and other nags about bishop builds. This is probably why you never really see many bishop guides. Thank you for stating it otherwise, though. Well, I have done careful research, especially with the most unfunded of people. Well, as you were saying, yes people do 2-hit Skeles with Gene 10, but they are usually at least averagely or well-funded. In my research, I have used at least all clean equips, and a cap luk of 80, which do not 2-hit with Gene 10, at an earlier. As my builds, I try to comprise builds, that can be universal, and can negate the amount of funds, especially to a high point. Well, I work on one build the most, and it is recommended at least. It also says, to add Gene 30, but later on when they can afford it. The other builds, are to be used on their choice, but the recommended one, is in bold, which I am currently using. Also, with Gene 10, vs. Gene 15. They usually get 15, due to 10's lack of 1-hitting harps at an earlier level. Well, you have to think out of the circle. It's not like all bishops train at Skeles, no? There are many who train at harps first, or any other places like Wyverns. But most people go for 20, because they need to really save the mp. So, I tried to make my skill builds universal, and I thought of about everyone, without funds or with. Yes, level 20 genesis won't let them 1-hit, I know that. It's not like everyone can afford Gene 30 either. Really, if you want to make a skill build for me, feel free to PM with an idea of your own for a skill build, I will most likely post it here and fix it a bit. Thank you for reading my guide, and giving some statements. I appreciate your words.
as MissRiley states; "Players however, hardly train at newties with the exception of selling leech, since the new the skele dungeons provide a better spawn and exp"
This is because back then, newties were a lot better, and people had to fight for maps. Also, honestly, as long as you could 2hit back then, 100% you didn't need anymore than probably 12 or 13 genesis. But now, with the new skele mini dungeons, all bishops go to skeles instead, and once again, they'll only need 30 genesis to 1hit, which shouldn't be till late 16x anyways. I think you need to revise this guide, for the newer games' update(s).
I hope you didn't take my last post as a flame, because that was not my intention. I do appreciate you writing a build for the insane amount of bishops being made today.
I can see your reasoning behind boosting gen. to 15/20. But to equip a bishop with clean gears is rather unrealistic? As well the equips are capped with luk. at 80, however most bishops today are luckless. I do agree that in order to 2hit with Lv.10 genesis, it would require decently scrolled equips so I thus agree with your reasoning. I personally think, that the build bellow would maximize a bishop's training potential. [1res 2gen] -bossing, training [x amount of genesis] - needed to 2hit skeles (as it's the most popular training spot.) I'm not sure, but I believe the amount of matk to 2hit skeles will allow you to 1hit harps? [9mw] - 5% increase in overall stats. [save points for gen30/mw20]. - Which is the same build as yours, but switching the orders. Thank you for taking time to read the post. Well, I don't think anyone can really afford Genesis 30. Well you asked me to revise for the updates, and I have. Really now, it's really hard to find Genesis 30, and it's not even 100%, 50% and usually not everyone just gets one and gets Genesis 30. Genesis 20, on the other hand, is about 20m, which is affordable, it's not like every really 1-hits Skeles , every now and then. Well, I do actually agree with it, since you made things clearer, and yes I did take it as a flame, which did seem pretty rude. Since I have invested 30-40 hours into revising this guide already. It's not new, its been reposted at least 3 times. Well, I fixed the part for the guide, since as I thought out, I put save points, because I knew people wouldn't be able to afford Genesis 30, so I put it after MW9, since MW is free. Thank you for the response. http://www.basilmarket.com//forum/1173368/0//Aiders_Magician_to_Bishop_Guide.html#BB You can find it there. You being in Windia should know, just go to CHN8FM1 for HT drops. Hefferheffer, Velocity, and Revival's mushies are usually there. Gen30 is indeed expensive, but gen20 is just as much, not everyone has 15-25mill too yknow! Sightmn: Not hard? You being in Windia should know, just go to CHN8FM1 for HT drops. Gen30 is indeed expensive, but gen20 is just as much, not everyone has 15-25mill too yknow! Well if you have any further comments, please feel free to PM me. Well since no one has any mesos at all now, how about you think up of a skill build and I'll consider it. Thank you for your time. Also, since they can't afford Genesis 20 at all. You can tell them personally, to use the Meso Saving Bishop [1] or Meso Saving Bishop [2] I kindly made for the unfortunate people who can't afford being a bishop. You can tell them personally, to use the Meso Saving Bishop [1] or Meso Saving Bishop [2] I kindly made for the unfortunate people who can't afford being a bishop. Who is "no one" ? I have mesos, I could start up a bishop easily, and how are you supposed to afford a gen20/30 with "clean equips" and a scrolled staff/wand. Why you tryin' to act all cool? Just cause you took time to write a non-guidefull, guide it doesn't mean anything. Also, with 80 base luk, it will be extremely hard to 2hit 100% newties or skeles at a low level ( around 125-140) Afford being a bishop? Gen30 is the most expensive by far out of all mastery books, untill we get MW30, but that'll be for all classes, INCLUDING bishops! How are they supposed to afford the equips you've stated above, if they cannot even afford mastery books to upgrade their base attack? Yellow snowshoe? 50mill at the least, clean glitter gloves? 40mill at the least, 5/10 earrings? 20mill at the least.. Think logically. Oh and using bold font on your text doesn't make you cool either I don't want to PM you, I want to post it on your thread so you can see the flaws, and others as well. Register / login
