Whats the difference between a Hero and a Paladin?
Maple story Forums : Warrior : Warrior questions and answers Thread starter
Does it just come down to a Hero having Combo and Paladins having elemental charges?
What about damage wise? Paladins seem like they would do more damage, but only against elemental weak monsters. Would you normally train against those elementally weak monsters anyway? I want to decide which path to take, so if there is anything you would think is helpful, please let me know. Click here if you think this post is particularly interesting or helpful.

In my opinion, after training both a paladin to 136 and a hero to 150, I have to say I prefer the hero more.
The elemental limitations made third and the start of 4th job a huge pain in the ass. (Before it was actually great, the best training spots were fire weak and some were even lightning weak) But now the best of the training spots just really aren't elemental friendly. Not to mention the bossing issue. And a souped up power strike and slash blast isn't as cool as brandish. (I know it's an opinion . . . but I don't know a whole lot of people who prefer blast/ACB over Brandish. Not to mention brandish seems to have more range. . . but I haven't really compared) However they did recently change HH's cooldown so it's actually usable, so this definitely balances paladins out a lot more, training wise. basically Paladins to me are more for people who like standing out from the crowd and tough journeys. I made a lot of neat white knight friends both ingame and on basilmarket back in the day and it's rather cool having a little page community to be part of and suffer together xD. Heroes are just heroes . . . I can't say much about them. :3 and on bigfoot brandish is very useful for elder wraiths (especially in evil dead omg x.x) However paladins can sell suicide leech a lot easier with HH. If that matters to anyone . . . New Pic: webcam pic o 3o Listing: bigfoot leech
I dunno about the training statement, since I only train with Bishops anyway, but solo? Yeah Paladins completely destroy us at training
Good thing we're good at bossing ^_^ Phaxen: Paladin or Hero either lose or win in all situations posted above mainly depending on funding... -_- just assume they have the same funding.... Judging from what I seen in videos, Paladins are more for mobs of 6, and heros are for mobs of 3.
heroes get enrage derp derp
paladins get heavens hammer derp derp
Decywar: Heroes are generally better at bossing because bosses arent weak to elements, and since heroes get combo, they put out better DPM. But paladins are better for leveling because of the ele charges (Ice freezes, less pot burn, Fire = mega dual pirate leveling, and holy is skele training at your higher levels. Also hammer is a really fun skill :P). Also Paladins weapons are much cheaper, because like 3/4 warrior classes can use them so they are wanted much more, and also cause swords are faster, brandish turns out more DPM than blast. Sure pallies can get into boss runs, its more of a play style and what you prefer to do :P. Blast is FASTER than brandish. Do your research. Also, paladins put out more DPM than heroes on a single target. DrkXxSh4d0w: Blast is FASTER than brandish. Do your research. Sources? DrkXxSh4d0w: Also, paladins put out more DPM than heroes on a single target. Depends on charges and weaknesses. Blast activates about 2 times more per minute than brandish. It's been known for some time.
Kk then.
It even says it in the Warrior Comparison Wiki >.>

StassRules: hello my name is drew. My credibility in the topic of both hero and paladin is that: I have both a hero and a paladin. so therefor I feel that I am perfect to answer this question for you. Hero and paladin have very similar skills but the question is, how do they differ. From their 2nd job, you will notice that fighters are the offence and Pages are the defensive. What does this mean? In order to get the most damage out of a hero, you must play offensively and aggressively. In order to get the most out of a paladin, you must play defensively and strategically. If a hero tried to play defensively, then: paladin wins if a paladin tried to play offensively then: hero wins In terms of charges, Heros get a physical charge up, and palys get Elemental charge up. Because you cannot play defensively against boss monsters, hero naturally wins. LOOOOOOOL. Please tell me you're not serious. Register / login
