About the Typhon Glitch and Nexon in general.

Here's a funny thing. A few hours ago, right after 2x was over, they made a nice little tweet on Twitter saying they banned 371 people. Obviously, they know about the auto-ban, which means they're getting our tickets. If they happen to notice how so many bans happened within the period of (Approximately) 19 minutes into 2x, at the exact same map, then they receive so many tickets about a ban glitch in that exact same map, if they really cared they would try to address this problem. But quite frankly, I don't think they give a damn. They're probably thinking like "So what if a few hundred players are screwed by our glitched auto-ban or faulty coding. We don't care. Maybe next time they'll just try to stay not to get banned. Who cares if they were totally innocent?" It's basically saying that even if they screw a few people over, as long as people keep giving them money, they don't really have to listen to our complaints. Having a few people lose their accounts doesn't really cut into their profits.
Bagging on Nexon isn't my first priority. I'm not just saying things like this just because I'm completely pissed that I missed out on my 4XP and am having all of my NX gear go to waste. I'm saying this because I, like thousands of other players, have noticed Nexon's decline in their ability to satisfy us, their customers, over the past few months. Quite frankly, when things like this happen to SO many people at the same time and under the same circumstance, and Nexon does NOTHING to address the problem for weeks on end, we ARE being screwed over. They're total lack of presence and concern pretty much attests to this. Even in-game, you rarely feel or think of the presence of a GM, and the times when they actually are on in-game, they come on to play silly games like hide-and-seek. Nexon really needs to step up in terms of customer satisfaction. I remember in April where they said they were improving, hiring new staff and working more on satisfying their customers and on making the game more enjoyable. They also stressed the point that "[They] would do their best to address our issues, and continue their improvement over the coming months." It seems to me that they have almost completely went back on this promise, because as the independent (a.k.a private) servers died down, this talk of "improvement" faded into the background. Having a few people find a better experience on a server not run by them just so happens to cut into their profits. This little glitch would be the perfect chance for the people at Nexon to show us that they care. And while they're fixing this glitch, how about fixing all the other little issues that seem to plague this game, like the 7 day market glitch or all the little grammar problems. It can all come in little steps but they need to keep up to their promise of improvement. I'm sorry if this has turned into an all-out rant but I felt that these are things that had to be said. Do you guys realize how hard it is to program a game...
give them some breaks.. you of course need to test the software/game out to debug them... It's gets irritating when we send in tons of tickets about the Typhon glitch, a glitch that shouldn't of happened since they shouldn't of touched cwk the last few patches, and our characters getting banned for it. Yeah, programming a game isn't easy, and I've pointed it out before, but there's a point, especially when they know about the glitch, and people are LOSING THERE ACCOUNTS over it. look at all the bugs in v77, they were fixed that VERY same day. This isn't about people getting easy attack belts, people are losing their accounts over it, and its utter bs that they can't have an emergency patch to fix it, especially when they know about it, they have fixed the glitch before, and shouldn't of TOUCHED CWK. The banning @ typhons existed since August (when my girlfriend got banned) but back then only a few got banned. They insisted that it was not a fault in their system and that she really did do something wrong. The only thing she did was start a fresh 2x card and got banned within minutes of training with my wind archer. She was unbanned in September and wasn't put on rankings until a month after that. They definitely need to improve their system. The people who haven't been banned wrongfully or know someone who got banned just don't seem to understand sometimes.
yea i agree my maruader got banned too-.- freaken nexon man no training for 1month-.-
Whats this auto ban at typhons? How do you get auto-banned?
hlshadow: Whats this auto ban at typhons? How do you get auto-banned? People have just been training then they get AB'ed, it's happened to those who didnt even do the glitch. Of course nexon doesn't care, perhaps we should all just threaten them of illegal servers somehow. Someone throw a trojan add into the advertisements for a illegal server maplestory. then they can pretend to do some work for once, rather than ignoring whatever amount of money and time we might be pouring into this game.

Okay, say if Nexon made 1 or 2 mistakes, they can be forgiven, but like XaviAce said, There are numerous flaws in this game, of which Nexon isn`t bothered fixing. Last year, I got banned for taking the Hak (CRANE, NOT A TYPO), and sent in a ticket. They said I sent it to the wrong place when I submitted for a ban appeal, when it should have gone to bug report, and couldn't be unbanned because I already submitted a ticket. laaamesauce.
Whats AB?
hlshadow: Whats AB? AB stands for Autoban. juliettekawaii: Do you guys realize how hard it is to program a game... give them some breaks.. you of course need to test the software/game out to debug them... "faulty code "... yah.. i like to see you program it better >. I know EXACTLY how much effort that goes into programming a game as huge as Maplestory. I have an internship with Microsoft in Computer Science and Programming, So I know that Maplestory contains thousands (or more like millions) of lines of code. But I'd also like to point out that Nexon didn't program this game originally. They got it from Wizet, and they basically just copied and pasted the code and loosely translated the dialog. You can probably notice this in the language used in the game. Also, most of the new content they receive is also from the Korean version of Maplestory. This is one of the things I've noticed that really annoyed me. When it came to a money issue, such as people taking advantage of yes, faulty coding, and make millions of mesos while most of us are left in the dark, they jumped on that almost immediately. But when it comes to an issue that people can be genuinely angered about, such as having your account banned for no reason, they seem to be very slow to respond. Register / login
